Charter flights to Vietnam. When is the best time to go on holiday to Vietnam? What planes are used to fly to Vietnam?

A detailed post about searching and purchasing cheap air tickets and tours to Vietnam. Review of flights to Vietnam from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok and other regions of Russia. Which airports are more convenient to fly to for a holiday in Nha Trang, Mui Ne or Da Nang, an overview of Vietnamese and Asian low-cost airlines and other budget ways to travel to Vietnamese seaside resorts.

International airports in Vietnam

Most Vietnamese beach resorts concentrated in the south (and center) of the country, I wrote about this in a post about resorts in Vietnam.

If your goal of coming to Vietnam is a beach holiday, then I recommend choosing an airport closer to your vacation spot in advance, since the distances are long and traveling across the entire country by land can be uncomfortable and long. If you are heading to Vietnam to explore the country and are not limited by time, then you can choose absolutely any international Airport.

Inside Vietnam, everything is much simpler, here you can travel either on budget, comfortable, but slow buses, or fly on Asian low-cost airlines, use the services railway It’s possible, but not all Vietnamese cities have rails.

Vietnam international airports and resorts on the map

1. Hanoi International Airport- Noi Bai (IATA: HAN, ICAO: VVNB) is located 45 kilometers from the capital of Vietnam. Despite all its “metropolitan” nature, Noi Bai Airport is only the third in terms of passenger service in Vietnam.

If you arrived in Vietnam to visit the north of the country (to visit the cities of Sapa, Hue, Halong Bay, etc.), then buy air tickets to Hanoi airport.

2. Ho Chi Minh City International Airport (formerly Saigon)- Tan Son Nhat International Airport(pronounced Tan Son Nhat, IATA code SGN), is Vietnam's largest airport in terms of size and passenger traffic. It is located within the city, immediately upon exiting the airport you will find yourself in residential areas cities. Finding an inexpensive hotel within walking distance of the airport is easy.

The main flow of tourists comes here, since prices for flights to Ho Chi Minh City Airport are the lowest, but there is an inconvenience in getting to some beach resorts. For example, before resort village Mui Ne - Phan Thiet, you will have to travel for five hours by bus. If you are planning a beach holiday in Mui Ne (Phan Thiet), Vung Tau or Phu Quoc Island, then Ho Chi Minh City Airport is the closest to them.

3. Nha Trang International Airport- Cam Ranh International Airport, code CXR, it is located 30 kilometers south of the city and is the most convenient for recreation in Nha Trang.

Charters from Russia, Vietnamese and Asian regular airlines and low-cost airlines fly to Cam Ranh Airport. Transport accessibility of the airport and Nha Trang is made at top level, including bus service.

I have a simple and proven airline ticket search algorithm that I have been using for many years, it works great and allows me to find tickets at the cheapest fares.

  1. I go to this site and enter the simplest search (from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City), often this route is the most budget-friendly;
  2. I play with departure dates, sometimes it’s enough to change the days of the week and you’ve already saved a couple of thousand rubles;
  3. I definitely go to this site and check a similar route for prices, there is one feature here, you can specify not city - city (Moscow - Ho Chi Minh City), but country - country (Russia - Vietnam).

Here is a short algorithm of my actions when searching for air tickets, and now let’s see how it works in practice.

Let's set ourselves the goal of finding a cheap flight from Moscow to Nha Trang. From experience, I can say that it is most profitable to split such a route into two flights (sometimes three). The first flight is from Russia to Ho Chi Minh City, the second is from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang

Flights to Ho Chi Minh City

We are flying from Moscow to Nha Trang, and it seems obvious that the most convenient airport is Cam Ranh. The first search yielded a ticket on the route Moscow - Nha Trang for 20,600 rubles one way. I look at neighboring dates and see a savings of 1,000 rubles.

I change the airport of arrival to Ho Chi Minh City and see that the ticket price has already dropped to 14,600 rubles, and for the next date a ticket on the Moscow - Ho Chi Minh City route costs even less - 13,400 rubles.

Just in case, I check the neighboring airport of departure (St. Petersburg), sometimes you can get good prices from St. Petersburg to Ho Chi Minh City, but this time the prices are more expensive than from Moscow.

I check the second search engine for adequacy of prices, it does a good job of searching for local low-cost airlines and other Asian stuff. Here you can specify a flight both Moscow - Ho Chi Minh City and Russia - Vietnam and the search engine will select the cheapest tickets. This time there is nothing interesting; when searching, it returns higher prices.

Flights to Nha Trang

I buy a ticket to Ho Chi Minh City on the first search engine. But I need to get not to Ho Chi Minh City, but to Nha Trang, I have an answer to these objections (this is where the second search engine came in handy). No comments, look at the screenshot.

As a result, a flight from Moscow to Nha Trang costs a little more than 14,500 rubles (13,400 rubles from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City + 1,100 rubles from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang on a Vietnamese low-cost airline), instead of 20,600 rubles on the first search.

Five thousand rubles saved in five minutes, how do you like this result?

How to fly to Vietnam

Next, I’ll tell you about the most common methods of flying to Vietnam. Find everything I know on the question of “how to get to Vietnam the cheapest” in this part of the post. Read on for details about connecting flights, airline promotions, complex routes and the whole truth about the so-called “Error Rates”.

Regular flights to Vietnam

One of the most convenient and most expensive ways to get to Vietnam by air is a regular direct flight. It is worth remembering that not every city has a direct connection; it is clear that from Moscow and St. Petersburg (often via a connection in Moscow) there are direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City, but not every million-plus city can provide such a flight.

Direct flights from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City are operated by Aeroflot and Vietnam Airlines; a direct flight will take 10 hours and cost from 30,000 rubles.

There are also direct flights from Russian regions to Vietnam, but they are operated by charter companies, the prices are not the lowest, but direct flights are always convenient.

Charters to Vietnam

One of the features of charter flights to Vietnam is their pronounced seasonality: from November to April several planes fly from Moscow, and in the summer months there is a decline and calm. Charters to Vietnam, like Vietnam itself, are very young tourist destination, perhaps with an increase in the flow of tourists to this exotic country, there will be more charter flights.

The following charter airlines fly to Vietnam: VIM-Avia, Nord Star, S7, Nordwind Airlines.

Airline sales

There is enormous competition in the airline world, especially evident in the more developed Western markets, so young and ambitious airlines regularly produce high-profile ticket sales. The main essence of all sales is advertising of the airline (probably you have seen their loud announcements about sales on the Internet and on television), and last but not least, it is to sell off “stagnant goods” (just reduce the price a little and the tickets will sell themselves, without any advertising hype ).

The leaders in ticket sales to Vietnam are the following airlines: Turkish Airlines, Air China, Etihad, Qatar, Emirates, Aeroflot.

Incorrect air fares

Why do I think false tariffs are evil?

searching for air ticket freebies is a labor-intensive process, a positive result is not guaranteed;
a ticket at an erroneous fare can be canceled at any time and your vacation will be cancelled;
The money saved will not compensate for the lost wait when tickets are cancelled.

Indeed, there is a small percentage of free tickets; some lucky ones even manage to buy them. But the main thing is not to have time to buy at an erroneous fare, but to have time to fly. There have been cases when tickets purchased at erroneous fares were canceled a week before departure, and the money was returned to the buyers. You should be prepared for such an outcome.

The essence of some high-profile erroneous fares, as always, is in PR and advertising of the airline, but there are also truly enchanting glitches when the price of an air ticket to Vietnam is lower than a transfer from the airport to the city. If few tickets have been sold, then there is a possibility that if such free tickets are sold en masse, they will most likely be canceled and the money returned.

Difficult routes to Vietnam

Complex routes are another type of erroneous tickets (my personal opinion), it is impossible to understand the economics of this action with the mind, but there are interesting price options. Finding such routes is even more difficult than finding tickets at erroneous fares, but with a little experience and luck, you can achieve what you want.

The essence of complex routes is to search for air tickets on a composite (complex) route. For example, we need to buy a ticket to Vietnam, and we add another point to the composite route. As a result, we get the following route Moscow - Ho Chi Minh City - Seoul (there can be absolutely any airport here), the price may differ by 100 dollars or more downward, and no one will force you to fly to the final point. When flying on such a route, you should be careful with your luggage (it only needs to be checked in until Ho Chi Minh City) and unclaimed segments of the ticket (if at least one segment is not used in a complex route, the entire ticket is lost).

It’s almost impossible to find great deals or something like this with your own hands.

To Vietnam via Southeast Asian countries

If you love everything Asian, otherwise why are you looking for tickets to Vietnam, then you can use a neighboring country (such as Thailand or Malaysia) and fly to it, and then fly to Vietnam on any Asian low-cost airline for 1,000 rubles. Asian low-cost airlines are cheap and fly frequently. Read on to learn about the main Asian low-cost airlines.

Sometimes, flights from Moscow to Thailand or Malaysia can cost less than a similar flight to Vietnam. Keep a close eye on flight prices to neighboring countries, if the difference is noticeable (to a lesser extent), then buy without hesitation, you will also visit Vietnam and look at neighboring countries.

Excellent prices, often holds promotions, you can fly all over Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, New Zealand;

Exotic Vietnam is a country that is increasingly being considered as a travel destination by both fans of excursions to outlandish places and lovers beach holiday. This country is replete with attractions - both historical and natural.

If you are more interested excursion holiday, it is best to start the route from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City - the main cities of Vietnam, moving, respectively, to the south (from Hanoi) or to the north (from Ho Chi Minh City).

Conditions for travel to Vietnam up to 90 and up to 15 days:

  • international passport, expiration date;
  • from 3 months at the end of the trip;
  • return ticket or to a third country.

If you prefer beach pleasures, “Vietnamese Hawaii” awaits you in the east of the country. Beach resorts Vietnam is improving its infrastructure every year and becoming more and more comfortable for the spoiled Western tourist. And prices are several times lower than in neighboring Thailand!

Where to fly to Vietnam from?

The great advantage of the modern tourist is that tours to exotic countries are organized not only from Moscow, but also from many other major cities. You can buy, for example, tours to Vietnam from St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Vladivostok... Wherever there is an international airport, travel companies appear that are eager to make happy local residents a wide range of exotic excursion programs.

Unfortunately, the offers of travel agencies in your city do not always correspond to the cost of similar tours in Moscow or St. Petersburg, where the adequacy of prices is regulated by high competition in the tourism market. Sometimes, if there are a very small number of companies offering tours to Vietnam in a city, the prices for tours turn out to be exorbitant, and Vietnam costs the same as Thailand. Travel agencies reason like this: if a traveler wants to fly to Vietnam from his city, let him fork out the cash.

But the modern tourist is becoming bolder and more sophisticated every year. It’s already difficult to “swindle” him into an inadequately expensive tour, whose only advantage is departure from his hometown. A tourist reads travel blogs, analyzes air ticket prices and hotel room rates, and understands that from his city - be it Ufa, Omsk or Novosibirsk - he can fly to Vietnam without the help of travel agencies. Independent travel is becoming increasingly popular!

Is it profitable to travel to Vietnam on your own?

After reading about prices in Vietnam and independently analyzing prices in hotels using an online booking service, the tourist asks three questions:

  1. Why didn’t I know about vacationing in Vietnam before?!
  2. Is it really possible that with almost the same level of service, a holiday in Vietnam is so much cheaper than in Thailand?!
  3. Which number should you choose – for $20, for $15 or for $2?

Yes, yes, a couple of dollars for housing, and for famous resorts, such as Nha Trang - this is the real price for Vietnam. True, it will be a closet without any amenities, but if you are young, brave and you like traveling “savage” - why not take the opportunity to relax almost for free? Although it is still better to rent housing for at least $5. And if you want a bathroom, TV and air conditioning, pay $15-25 at a mini-hotel and enjoy your vacation!

You can spend only $5 a day on food in Vietnam, and still indulge in exotic delicacies. The secret is to buy all kinds of ostrich, shark and crocodile meat at the night fishing market. In the evening and at night, in Vietnam, as in Thailand, there are markets. Buying at this time is profitable and interesting! Both food and souvenirs.

For example: a large portion of shells costs $1, a kilo of juicy fruit – $1, crabs – $5, lobsters – $10...

If you prefer to eat in restaurants, expect to pay $5 – $12 at an average establishment.

How much does a flight to Vietnam cost?

Now let's look at the cost of flying to Vietnam on your own. On average in Russia, the cost of a flight to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City costs from 19 to 27 thousand rubles, generally the lower limit ranges from 23 to 25 thousand rubles. Here are the prices for the first half of May (per person round trip in economy class):

  • Flight to Vietnam from Moscow (takes from 10 hours): Ho Chi Minh City from 35,359 rubles, Hanoi from 29,758 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from St. Petersburg (takes from 9 hours): Ho Chi Minh City from 34,240 rubles, Hanoi from 33,058 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Khabarovsk (takes from 10 hours): Ho Chi Minh City from 51,595 rubles, Hanoi from 44,370 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Ekaterinburg (takes from 10 hours): Ho Chi Minh City from 33,339 rubles, Hanoi from 38,685 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Rostov (takes from 15 hours due to waiting at the airport for a transfer): Ho Chi Minh City from 46,179 rubles, Hanoi from 34,558 thousand rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Ufa (takes from 18 hours due to waiting at the airport for a transfer): Ho Chi Minh City from 58,458 rubles, Hanoi from 34,558 thousand rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Omsk (takes from 19 hours due to waiting at the airport for a transfer): Ho Chi Minh City from 52,993 rubles, Hanoi from 34,558 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Novosibirsk (takes from 10 hours due to waiting at the airport for a transfer): Ho Chi Minh City from 38,706 rubles, Hanoi from 39,201 rubles.
  • Flight to Vietnam from Vladivostok (takes from 9 hours due to waiting at the airport for a transfer): Ho Chi Minh City from 26,046 rubles, Hanoi from 27,933 rubles.

It's hard to say why flights to Hanoi are more expensive in some cities and to Ho Chi Minh City in others. In addition, the pricing policies of air carriers are not always clear. It remains only to state that this moment It is the most expensive to fly from Omsk to Vietnam, and the cheapest is from Moscow and Vladivostok. But air ticket prices are dynamic, so if you are planning to fly to Vietnam, check the cost of tickets yourself and look for the best options.

The same goes for flight times to Vietnam. How many hours to fly to Vietnam depends on the wait during the transfer. From some cities, as we see, at the moment there are only flights that involve a rather long wait. However, tourists sometimes choose such flights themselves, preferring to fly to Vietnam for 1.5 - 2 days, but save on the cost of tickets.

What is the cheapest way to get to Vietnam? The review lists all the best ways to fly to Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and Phu Quoc from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities. Direct flights, connecting flights, low-cost airlines, airline promotions and complex routes.

Vietnam is one of the most popular countries South-East Asia. This is also a very good point for starting large and long trips around Indochina and Asia in general. Let's try to understand all the intricacies of pricing air tickets to this country and find out all the ways to fly to Vietnam inexpensively.

The examples show the cost of round-trip air tickets. Prices are current at the time of publication.

Let's get started!

Where is the best place to fly?

The main airports in Vietnam are located in (capital, north of the country) and (largest city, south of the country). These are the main ones air gate countries, they receive the largest number of aircraft. The easiest way to fly is with them: a large selection of flights and airlines, as well as the most low prices for tickets. Usually the best price is for flights to Ho Chi Minh City, but sometimes you can find excellent options to the capital for no more expensive.

For those who fly to Vietnam for a beach holiday, it is more convenient to fly directly to, Da Nang or to, but tickets for flights to these destinations are usually more expensive. However, you can get there very easily and cheaply.

  • Tickets on holidays are always more expensive (for example, on or Tet).
  • Try to fly on weekdays - most often tickets with a midweek departure are the cheapest. One way or another, always experiment with dates: by moving them in one direction or another, you can find tickets at a much lower price.
  • Try different departure/arrival cities if the situation allows you.
  • Follow the promotions and sales that airlines organize (for example, you can do this here on the website - we write about the most interesting offers for travelers).
  • Plan ahead. If the departure date is close, then it is very difficult to find something at an affordable price, especially during the season (for Vietnam this is winter).
  • Compare. It is best to look for air tickets on search engines - they compare prices from different airlines and booking systems and offer the best option. In 90% of cases, they find tickets 300-1000 rubles cheaper than what the airlines themselves offer on their websites. I recommend Skyscanner and I only use them myself.

If you are interested, you can read articles on this topic: “How to buy the cheapest air tickets” () and “Budget travel: secrets of saving” ().

Direct flights to Vietnam

The first way to fly to Vietnam is not the cheapest, but the fastest.

The cost of tickets for direct flights from Moscow to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City usually starts from 27,000 rubles, but such prices are rarely found - usually tickets are more expensive. As a rule, Aeroflot offers the best price on these routes; Vietnam Airlines has higher prices. A direct flight takes only 9-10 hours.

There are no direct regular flights from St. Petersburg and other Russian cities to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Aeroflot flies through Moscow - if you choose the shortest connection, this will be the fastest way to get to Vietnam from St. Petersburg.

Charter airlines operate direct flights from Russian cities to Nha Trang - for example, Azur Air. But such tickets rarely appear on sale separately from a tour package.

Accommodation while traveling. Look for hotels on the popular search engines Roomguru and Skyscanner Hotels - there you can find accommodation at any price! For example, on Cat Ba Island (Ha Long Bay) you can rent a beautiful room with a view of the bay from 1,500 rubles per day. We sincerely recommend it to those traveling to Nha Trang - we lived in this wonderful budget mini-hotel for almost three months in the winter of 2016.

Do you want something more than just hotels? Rent a house or apartment on the well-known Airbnb.ru service - it is much more comfortable and often cheaper than hotels (especially if you are traveling with a group or family).

Flight to Vietnam with transfers

The best way to fly to Vietnam cheaply is to fly there with a transfer. It is not difficult to choose an option that will not be much inferior in terms of duration and comfort compared to a direct flight. For example, if you are flying from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City, then a good solution would be to buy tickets on an Etihad or other Middle Eastern airline with a short connection in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Doha (from 1.5 hours). This will be cheaper than flying to Ho Chi Minh City on a direct flight, and the time loss will be only 3-4 hours, no more.

Departures from Moscow

The easiest way to get to Vietnam is from Moscow - the largest number of airlines fly from the capital, and the cost of flights is usually the lowest for Russia.

An adequate price for air tickets to Vietnam from Moscow can be considered 25-30 thousand rubles. If you come across something cheaper, you can safely take it. The cheapest option is usually to fly to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi - tickets cost from 22,000 rubles. Flights to Nha Trang (from 25,000) and Da Nang (from 30,000) are a little more expensive. Sometimes for 22-25 thousand rubles you can find tickets to the Vietnamese resort island of Phu Quoc.

From St. Petersburg and other cities

Fly to Vietnam from Saint-Petersburg will be more expensive than from the capital: the price of a flight to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi rarely falls below 25,000 rubles - flights with two connections are often carried out at this price. Flights to cities in Vietnam with one connection usually cost from 30 thousand.

You can get to Vietnam quite cheaply from Irkutsk: tickets to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi cost from only 25,000 rubles. It is convenient to fly on joint flights of S7 and Cathay Pacific with a transfer in Hong Kong (you can also take this one).

You can fly to the cities and resorts of Vietnam from Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Khabarovsk, Rostov-on-Don from 30 thousand rubles. From Vladivostok - from 25 thousand.

For those flying without a return ticket

If you are flying to Vietnam for a long time, it is best to try to get round-trip tickets right away. The fact is that one-way tickets, alas, cost not half the price of round-trip air tickets, but approximately 60-70%. A return ticket, if purchased separately, may cost even more. Of course, if you plan long journey in Asia or simply going there to spend the winter, it can be difficult to decide in advance on the date of return to Russia, but it is better to try to do it anyway.

You can fly to Vietnam without a return ticket from 14 thousand rubles from Moscow and St. Petersburg, from 18 thousand from Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan and other cities.

Hunting for a share

If the timing allows, then you can not rush into buying tickets, but take a wait-and-see approach until better times, that is, until some promotion or sale appears with good prices for flights to Vietnam. Such sales are not uncommon: many airlines organize them, so about once or twice a month one or another promotion takes place. There is no need to expect outstanding and selfless generosity from airlines - as a rule, as part of promotions and special offers, the price of tickets to Vietnam and other countries in Southeast Asia drops by a couple of thousand rubles. The average price for tickets for the promotion is about 20-23 thousand rubles. However, stock hunting is still the best way to get to Vietnam with minimal airfare.

We write about the best airline promotions.

Fly to Vietnam on a last-minute tour

Another way to fly to Vietnam cheaply is to catch a last-minute tour minimum price. At times, tour operators sell tours even cheaper than air tickets for regular flights. Tours to Vietnam from Moscow for two people for 7 nights cost from 27,000 rubles, for 11 nights - from 33,000 rubles. At the same time, the tour will also include accommodation, transfer, insurance and sometimes meals. There are even lower prices - we write about these in the section.

How to buy inexpensive tour to Vietnam? Compare travel prices for everyone largest tour operators on services and

Difficult route

An unusual way to get to Vietnam inexpensively is to buy tickets with a complex route. The Etihad airline and some others sometimes have an interesting incident with the pricing of tickets to Asia, if the route is formed as follows: “Moscow - Asia - Yekaterinburg”. The use of this scheme can reduce the price of tickets by 4-6 thousand rubles! It is not at all necessary to fly to Yekaterinburg after the trip; the flight is carried out with a transfer in Moscow - having arrived here, you can simply not fly further, no one can prevent you from doing this. I gave an example of such a scheme in. If you're lucky enough to come across tickets that qualify for this scheme, it could be the cheapest way to fly to Vietnam - don't miss this chance!

Fly to Vietnam for New Year

Many would like to meet New Year and spend the holidays not among the snowdrifts, but under a palm tree, so in the minds of many, tired of the stable strong minus Celsius, the question arises of how to inexpensively fly to Vietnam for the New Year. Therefore, I will share my observations on ticket prices for the New Year.

In general, to buy the cheapest tickets possible, you need to follow one rule - avoid dates between December 20 and January 10 (+\- several days). This period is always the most expensive. But there are also loopholes - for example, tickets with a return departure date of January 1 or 2 are often quite inexpensive. But in this case, you need to fly on vacation as early as possible.

In general, searching for cheap tickets for the New Year is a game with almost no rules that requires luck. The best way to find something acceptable is to go to search engines that compare prices among hundreds of airlines (like Skyscanner and), and “play” with departure/arrival dates. Nobody canceled the case, so it makes sense to try your luck by checking the price for as many dates as possible.

You can get to Vietnam from the territories of the post-Soviet space by various airlines: Aeroflot, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines", "Transaero", "Emirates", etc.

At the same time, the main and, it should be noted, the oldest company that provides services in this area is Vietnam Airlines, whose share in the transportation market to Vietnam is 40 percent of total international transportation. It is a state-owned company founded in 1956. Then the number civil aircraft was equal to 5. From 2003 to 2011 The airline is rapidly developing. Thus, the number of aircraft increased to 70 units. At the same time, the bulk of aircraft are represented by such famous brands as Boeing, Airbus, ATP of various models. In 1976, the company began mass passenger transportation. Today the annual number of passengers is 10 million people. The service provided is not inferior to world standards.

From Moscow, this airline began flying to Vietnam in the early nineties. The main representative office of Vietnam Airlines in Moscow is located at Domodedovo Airport on the 5th floor in room No. 512 (E-mail: [email protected], tel. 495 9268661, fax 495 9268661, opening hours from 14.00 to 20.00).

It should be noted that, of all the CIS countries, this company operates regular flights to Vietnam exclusively from Russia. However, take into account the fact that this program is systematically revised in terms of percentage discounts on flights relating to cities.

Let's now talk about pricing policy Vietnam Airlines company. From 01.04. this year, using the services of the airline we are discussing, you can travel to any corner of Vietnam from Moscow and back in economy class for an amount equivalent to 350 euros. Vietnam Airlines also provides a number of benefits for children under 12 years of age. They are constantly changing. As a rule, if your child is between 2 and 12 years old, you can save about a quarter of the amount spent, and under 2 years old, you will pay only ten percent of the ticket price. There is also one caveat: during pregnancy, be sure to ask until what time you can fly to Vietnam, which lasts almost 10 hours. If anything happens, you will have to provide a corresponding certificate from a doctor.

Note: if you decide to fly to Vietnam from December to February, be prepared to pay twice the amount above for tickets. But from April to July you can fly much cheaper.

Below we will look at other airlines that provide air transportation services to Vietnam. In Russia, this is, of course, Aeroflot, which operates flights to the specified state from Sheremetyevo Airport. But the list of Vietnamese cities is quite limited. This is the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, and its largest city, Ho Chi Minh City, but the prices are significantly lower than those of Vietnam Airlines.

If you are flying from Kiev (Ukraine), then the services described above are provided by the Aerosvit company, whose planes will take you to Ho Chi Minh City. You can also get to the same city from Kazakh Almaty

I would like to immediately note that all air tickets to Vietnam were searched using the services for selecting cheap air tickets Aviasales, as well as Buruki.

Main aircraft reception points in Vietnam

The most major airports Vietnam are located in Hanoi (by the way, the capital of the country, located in its northern part), as well as Ho Chi Minh City ( largest metropolis, located in the south). These two airports are of great international importance, as they are in fact the gateways to Vietnam.

The largest number of international flights are received here. In addition, it is to these points that you can purchase the cheapest plane tickets. As a rule, Ho Chi Minh City is cheaper, since it is located closer to Russia, but you can often also find more profitable options if you are lucky enough to get a sale or participate in a promotion.

  • During the holidays, ticket prices increase by 50%, so plan such trips in advance.
  • Try to book flights on a weekday - midweek flights to Vietnam often offer the lowest prices. In any case, try to always experiment with dates. If you try to move them in any direction, you will be able to find air tickets at a better price.
  • Experiment with different departure/arrival cities, of course, if this does not change the overall plan of your trip.
  • Subscribe to news from all famous airlines and ticket agencies. This way you can always be up to date with the latest latest news about sales and various promotions.
  • Try to purchase tickets as early as possible. Remember that the closer your departure date, the more expensive the travel document will be.
  • Everything is learned by comparison, and this rule is especially clear when searching for air tickets. As I said above, try to combine well-known services for finding cheap tickets, such as Aviasales, or Buruki and you can save up to several thousand rubles on your flight.

Direct flight to Vietnam

The first and easiest way to fly to Vietnam can hardly be called cheap and accessible, but it will be the fastest. The conversation, of course, will directly focus on choosing direct flights to Vietnam.

For example, a flight to Ho Chi Minh City from Moscow will cost you approximately 27 thousand rubles. Transport air service between the capitals of the two states will cost approximately the same price. Most affordable airline in this case it is Aeroflot.

WITH northern capital It will not be possible to fly to Vietnam via direct flights. In this case, the best option would be to fly first to Moscow, and only then, taking into account a short connection with an Aeroflot flight in the direction you have chosen. You don’t have to look for other faster options, there simply aren’t any.

How to fly to Vietnam with transfers

The best option to fly to Vietnam is to fly with one or two transfers. It is not difficult to choose such an option, especially since it will not be much inferior compared to direct flights in terms of duration and comfort.

For example, when flying from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City, an excellent offer would be to purchase an Etihad flight with a short connection in the UAE (no more than an hour and a half). In other words, you will spend 3-4 hours more on the flight, but you can save several thousand rubles.

2.A. Round trip ticket prices

Moscow — Vietnam

  • Moscow – Ho Chi Minh City – 20 thousand rubles
  • Moscow – Hanoi – 23 thousand rubles

St. Petersburg - Vietnam

  • St. Petersburg – Ho Chi Minh City – 26 thousand rubles
  • St. Petersburg – Hanoi – 28 thousand rubles

Irkutsk — Vietnam

  • Irkutsk – Ho Chi Minh City – 30 thousand rubles
  • Irkutsk – Hanoi – 35 thousand rubles

  • Novosibirsk – Ho Chi Minh City – 26 thousand rubles
  • Novosibirsk – Hanoi – 31 thousand rubles

  • Ekaterinburg – Hanoi – 27 thousand rubles

Vladivostok - Vietnam

  • Vladivostok – Ho Chi Minh City – 22 thousand rubles
  • Vladivostok – Hanoi – 26 thousand rubles

2.B. ONE WAY TICKET

If you are not planning to go to Vietnam for long term, then it would be best to purchase tickets in both directions at once. The logic here is simple. The cost of a one-way ticket is approximately 70 percent of the price of two round-trip tickets. It's another matter if you plan long journey, at least not for several months, then in this case you will simply need to choose the most optimal flight option depending on the cities of the Russian Federation.

In case of departure from Moscow, the offers are as follows:

  • Moscow – Ho Chi Minh City – 11 thousand rubles. Airlines: Etihad.

It is worth noting that Aeroflot operates direct flights to Vietnam, while Arab companies operate flights with two transfers.

In case of departure from St. Petersburg, the offers are as follows:

  • Moscow – Ho Chi Minh City – 16 thousand rubles. Airlines: Etihad.
  • Moscow - Hanoi - 18 thousand rubles. Airlines: Aeroflot, Qatar Airways, and Etihad.

Flights from other airports in Vietnam

So, as mentioned above, the most accessible and cheapest in terms of air tickets are the two most major cities Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. But the cost of the flight does not always justify their importance for starting a trip to Vietnam, especially since no one excludes the option of flying to other cities.

So, the cost of a ticket to Nha Trang, which in fact is considered one of the most best resorts Vietnam including departure from Russian capital, is 30 thousand rubles (round trip). As a rule, the most the best prices This route is offered by the local airline Vietnam Airlines.

You can also initially get to the 4th most important city in Vietnam, Da Nang, which is also one of the most major resorts countries. Round-trip tickets in this direction cost between 30-32 thousand rubles.

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Moscow to Da Nang, so you will have to take a connecting flight through China or India. It is worth noting that all other cities and resorts in Vietnam do not differ much in price, so one way or another you will have to shell out at least 30 thousand rubles.

Search for promotional offers

If there is still time before departure and you have not decided on the final date, then you can take your time purchasing tickets in order to take a wait-and-see approach until better times. In other words, in this case it would be better to subscribe to all newsletters and just sit and wait advantageous offer, which will be sent to you as an SMS or email.

It’s worth noting that you can’t expect particularly generous offers from airlines, but you can definitely save 5-8 thousand. Eg, average price for promotional offers on air tickets to Vietnam is now about 18 thousand rubles. As you can see, there is a good reason to postpone your trip until better times.

Save with a discount voucher

With the discount you can also save on air tickets. For example, as part of the promotion of the Svyaznoy-Travel company, you can receive a discount coupon worth 500 rubles just for subscribing to their newsletter, while the Bravofrends service generally has a unique referral program.

Its meaning is as follows. You need to register as a participant in the loyalty program of this service and for this registration you will be given a voucher for 20 euros. In addition, you can also invite friends to the loyalty program, who will also receive 20 euros into their account and thereby earn 1 euro for you. In other words, the more friends you bring, the better it will be.

Choosing difficult routes

It is worth noting that sometimes some well-known companies have interesting situations, as a result of which they charge quite favorable prices for a route of this type: St. Petersburg - Vietnam - Vladivostok. In fact, this route will save you at least 7-8 thousand rubles.

And if you look in more depth, then if you save the above-mentioned amount on purchasing such tickets, then all you have to do is choose a profitable flight directly to St. Petersburg. And in this case, you can already use your imagination, since here you can simply choose a direct plane flight, or go home by bus or train. In general, everyone is free to save as they want. Be sure to consider this option when searching for cheap flights to Vietnam.

Traveling to Vietnam for New Year's holidays

Many people dream of celebrating the main holiday of the year in the warmth and obviously not in the middle of snow-covered snowdrifts, but near the noisy ocean, lying on the sandy shore. This is why many people have the idea of flying to Asian countries for the New Year holidays, and, as a rule, Vietnam is considered the most popular option. Let me present my personal observations about traveling to Vietnam during the New Year.

So, there's not much to say here. The main thing is to avoid flying ten days before and after the New Year holidays, because it is at this time that the cost of air tickets is the highest. Although, you can find some loopholes if you experiment a little with dates. For example, the cheapest way would be to return back to Russia on the first or second day, while you need to fly to Vietnam on December 18th at the latest. After this date, prices begin to rise by leaps and bounds.

In other words, everything here will depend purely on your personal preferences. If you have specific dates that you would like to spend in warmth and comfort instead of being in the bitter cold, then use the services of Buruki and Aviasales to find the best and most profitable dates for departure.

Flying to Vietnam from another Asian country

There are often situations when you can buy a ticket for a date you don’t need much cheaper, just taking into account a transfer in some neighboring South Asian country. For example, in Thailand or Malaysia. The fact is that the difference in the cost of travel documents can be quite significant and vary between 5-10 thousand rubles. The most the best option An airline known in Asian countries, Air Asia, which often sells its tickets at favorable prices, may become an option for the flight. There have been cases when a ticket from Thailand to Vietnam could be purchased for only 500 rubles.

In other words, if a flight ticket to Malaysia, for example, will cost 5 thousand less direct flight to Vietnam, it would be better to take advantage of this offer, since a ticket from Malaysia to Vietnam will cost you a maximum of 1 thousand rubles. In addition, in this way you will be able to visit an additional country not included in your route, not to mention significant savings, which, by the way, can be spent on staying there if the visiting rules allow it.

Taking into account the above facts, this discussion can be considered closed, since even the most inexperienced tourist now knows how to fly to Vietnam cheaply. Remember to experiment and spend time searching, and you will definitely get results.
