Treatment in the Philippines. Health issues in the Philippines

If your shift is hard climatic zones and long journeys, consult your doctor about the course of adaptogenic drugs. The most common problem faced by vacationers in the Philippines is sunburn and heatstroke. Some tourists from unusual food and water may upset their stomachs for a while. Fortunately, cases of travelers with exotic diseases are rare enough.

The sun

It can really ruin your vacation. The tropical sun can turn you into a well-done steak quickly enough. We have developed rules for obtaining a beautiful tan, which help to avoid sunburn:

  • Get ready for a beautiful tan at home: visit the solarium 3-4 times a week or two before the trip.
  • Buy products for protection or even tanning with an SPF of at least 15, and for fair-skinned people - with an SPF of at least 30. In any case, it is a good idea to have in your arsenal a lotion or cream with SPF 30-40 (in case of prolonged sun exposure, as well as for children). To secure your tan and soften your skin, you will need a moisturizer, preferably from the same brand as your protectants.
  • Remember to apply sunscreens before swimming or traveling to the islands (good creams are water resistant, which should be written on the package). Even if the sun is not visible due to the haze, this does not mean that you cannot get sunburned. Rather, the opposite is true. Therefore, do not lose your vigilance.
  • Try to sunbathe in the morning (before 11 o'clock) or in the evening (after 3 pm), the rest of the time is better spent in the shade or indoors (restaurant, shop, spa).
  • Apply an after-sun moisturizer to your skin before going to bed after showering.

To avoid heatstroke, try to wear light-colored clothing made from natural fabrics (preferably with long sleeves) and a hat. Keep in mind that in hot climates, the body's need for fluid increases, so drink more water and juices (this does not apply to alcohol, as it also contributes to dehydration). When heading into the jungle, don't forget to bring a water bottle with you. With heavy sweating, the body begins to experience a lack of salt. If tiredness, drowsiness or cramps appear, you should drink a glass or two of slightly salted water.

Intestinal infections

  • If possible, wash purchased fruits with soap and choose fruits with skins (bananas, oranges, mangoes, papaya). After washing, rinse the fruit with bottled water instead of running.
  • Do not drink tap water or brush your teeth with tap water or standing water. V good hotels drinking water is brought daily along with soap and shampoo. If there is no such service, take care of yourself: drinking water in bottles of various capacities is sold in any grocery store and at gas stations. Good quality drinking water is inexpensive.
  • Avoid ice that is not made from bottled or boiled water in drinks (unsafe ice is usually found at street vendors).

For diarrhea, drink more water than usual (the daily norm for this climate is from 3 liters per day), as in this case, there is a large loss of fluid, and eat simple, if possible, familiar food (or steamed rice). Weak black or green tea with a small amount of sugar, as well as the juice of young coconut, are great for restoring the body. For a quick cessation of diarrhea, it is recommended to take imodium or 500 mg of ciprofloxacin (in case of a bacterial infection). If diarrhea or vomiting persists for more than two days (in children, more than one day), you should see your doctor.

Malaria and Dengue Fever

The risk of contracting these diseases in the Philippines is minimal, at least in tourist places, however, in the jungle, caution does not hurt. Both diseases are transmitted by mosquitoes. The most likely mosquito attack is early morning, early evening and night, but mosquitoes carrying the Dengue virus are most active during the day. Simple precautions can keep you from getting sick:

  • Close windows and doors tightly at night.
  • Use repellents (including local ones based on citronella and eucalyptus oil), turn on fumigators at night if you are staying in national parks.
  • When heading into the jungle, wear pants and a long-sleeved shirt.

Symptoms of the disease: heat, headache, muscle pain, vomiting and / or loss of appetite, rash. If you experience these symptoms, see your doctor immediately. Do not self-medicate: local specialists know more about these diseases than you do.

Allergy

If you are prone to allergies, be sure to bring along medications that can quickly relieve the attack. Be careful with unfamiliar foods, especially fruits and seafood. If you have a runny nose, swelling, sore throat and rash, you need to take an antihistamine.

Motion sickness

While vacationing in the Philippines, you will probably have to travel by sea and by air, so we recommend that you bring your medicines for motion sickness with you. These include homeopathic drops or Vertigohel tablets, Dramina tablets (dimensionhydrinate) or Betaserc (betahistine). These funds prevent the development of motion sickness, relieve motion sickness syndrome, nausea and dizziness.

Leeches, snakes and insects

The best way to protect yourself from such troubles is with high boots and socks, which it is advisable to also spray with repellent. If the leech does stick, sprinkle it with salt or burn it with a cigarette and it will fall off. Cover the bite with adhesive tape to prevent possible infection.

Snake bites are rare. Spider, centipede, or wasp bites are unpleasant and painful, but not fatal. In any case, you need to be careful in the jungle, and in case of a snake attack or an insect bite, go to the nearest hospital.

Traveler's first aid kit

It is better to stock up on everything you need than to be without the necessary medication when you suddenly need it. In this case, we advise you to take with you:

  • personal first-aid kit (which includes all drugs prescribed for taking in the given time by the attending physician, or drugs necessary for exacerbation of existing chronic diseases),
  • adaptogen to adapt to a new time zone and new climatic conditions(for example, Traumeel C homeopathic tablets, eleutherococcus tincture or melatonin),
  • motion sickness pills (in case long flight and sea travel) - Vertigohel, Dramina or Betaserc; the same drugs will come in handy while climbing the mountains,
  • Imodium or other medication in case of indigestion. These include both enterosorbents (activated carbon) and probiotic drugs or dietary supplements,
  • broad-spectrum antibiotic,
  • contraceptives,
  • Traumeel S ointment for bruises, cuts, sprains,
  • gel Calendelle C from insect bites and sunburn. For the same purpose, you can use aloe-based gel,
  • an antihistamine in case of an allergic reaction (for example, Telfast or Zyrtec), for example, due to the large amount of unusual seafood,
  • disposable disinfectant alcohol wipes or solutions, tissue paper,
  • adhesive plaster,
  • insect repellent (better to buy locally),
  • sun protection products.

Other drugs can be purchased from local pharmacies in major shopping centers or resort areas.

After returning

If you have experienced any discomfort during the trip, we advise you to contact your doctor upon return. In some cases (especially if you are traveling in winter), after returning, it will be appropriate to drink a course of immunostimulants or adaptogenic drugs. We recommend Traumeel C preparations or melatonin-containing adaptogens (eg Melaxen). Ask your doctor for advice.

Medical insurance

When going on a trip, do not forget to take out an insurance policy. Such insurance is inexpensive (about $ 1 per day per person), but if any health problem occurs, it will save you a lot of money and nerves. When buying an insurance policy, be sure to specify what insurance medical services you are obliged to provide, and how they are paid.

Additionally, we recommend taking out a special insurance for divers (such insurance is issued for a period from one day to a year), even if you are not a professional diver, but are just going to make your first dive. With such a policy, in case of a problem, you can call any time of day on a direct Moscow phone and get a consultation from a physiologist (the standard policy for travelers does not offer such a service). He will ask questions concerning your case and will expertly organize assistance or treatment. If necessary, you will be directed to the nearest medical center. institution or pressure chamber, where they will provide free assistance. The policy also includes evacuation and transportation. If you have insurance for the diver, you can call the operator before the trip and get information about the presence and location of hyperbaric centers, the need for vaccinations, etc. We repeat that we recommend taking out such insurance for beginners who may have health problems even during a test dive (for example , ear barotrauma or otitis media).

A person in his right mind will never stop taking care of his health. He will never stop looking for new ways to improve. Today, when the trust relationship "doctor-patient" in traditional medicine is undermined, people turn to such a phenomenon as alternative medicine in case of health problems. Of all the existing methods of treatment, surgery according to the method of Filipino healers is perhaps one of the most amazing.

They are considered great healers, sorcerers, charlatans. Eyewitnesses from all over the world claim that the hands of healers really magically penetrate the human body and treat such ailments that traditional medicine has turned its back on. So who are they - healers, Filipino healers?

Who is this?

Traditionally, it is customary to call those who conduct operations of varying complexity only hands, that is, without any special tools. In their practice, Filipino healers also do not use anesthetics. These are the most famous differences in healing among other medical teachings, but they are not the only ones.

Filipino medicine is associated with the concept of psychosurgery, because healers act not only in the physical, but also mental, influencing the consciousness of their patients.

Many titles

The name "healer" is derived from the English word Heal. What does "heal" mean. Note that these amazing people are called not only healers. V western world they were awarded the titles of "psychic surgeons", "mental surgeons", "surgeons of the fourth dimension." With such verbal phrases, people emphasize the extraordinaryness of the healing technique for healers.

First mentions

Started to spread all over the globe information about Filipino amazing healers thanks to Mariners. Written sources from the 16th century contain sailors' testimonies of miracles of healing seen on distant islands.

In the 40s of the 20th century, it was possible to document the process of a healer's work with a person. Since then, Filipino physicians have become known everywhere. Today it is much easier to see how healers work, photos of which are easy to find in open sources.

Notable healers

It is believed that there are only about 50 people with a deep knowledge of Filipino psychic surgery in the Philippines. But healers in the Philippines are also included in special official lists. So, there are many more officially registered (several thousand). Therefore, it is worth drawing conclusions about the quality of treatment of a particular healer. The parallel with our medicine can be traced again.

One of the famous modern healers is June Labo, whose clinic today accepts patients from all over the world.

Also in the homeland of the amazing direction of alternative medicine, the names of such healers as Alcazar Perlito, Nida Talon, Maria Bilosana, Alex Orbito, Virgilio D. Gutierrez, Rudolfo Suyat are most famous. The Filipino healer is an honorary title that, among many others, can only be earned by a talented, true healer.

In Russia, the healer Virgilio Gutierrez was most famous, now a doctor on Gutierrez, he taught the art of surgical intervention to the healers of selected students.

Filipino healers in Russia

Since the ties between continents and islands have become stronger, it is possible to get an "appointment" with a healer not only in distant countries. Healers also live in Russia. They carry out the treatment by their own, unconventional methods, which brought them worldwide fame and a lot of gossip.

It is customary to turn to alternative medicine when everything that traditional medicine has to offer does not help. At the same time, patients who are sick do not always fully trust the techniques they rely on last. So healers, reviews of which are contradictory, refer to this direction of alternative treatment.

In Russia, healers appeared about 20 years ago. Today there is even an Association of Filipino Healers. This organization is headed by Rushel Blavo, a well-known researcher of the phenomenon of extrasensory healing in the world scientific community.

Rushel Blavo dedicated several books to healers, documentary... In addition, the scientist conducts seminars dedicated to the unique capabilities of Filipino healers, with a demonstration of their art.

Other Filipino healers in Moscow and other cities of Russia have held seminars more than once, initiating people into the mystery of knowledge of their extraordinary medicine.

Healing techniques

In fact, besides surgery, healers use other healing techniques. So, Philippine medicine includes the use of various conspiracies, herbal treatment, stones, manual therapy. All these methods are traditional for Asian peoples, however, it is surgical operations that are most famous.

Operations are carried out by healers only with their hands. They do not use any tools, such as scalpels or clamps. Thus, from the human body, the doctor can get any foreign body, accumulated toxins, stone formation. The doctor finds deviations in the state of certain organs on his own and begins his work there. Diagnostics and other analyzes are not carried out, which is also surprising for those who first encounter the art of Filipino healers.

Psychic surgery - a miracle of healing

Strange as it may seem to us, but healers profess the Catholic faith. As with most of what has developed historically, the healers have the Bible on the table even during operations. If we consider the operations of healers as a kind of ritual, then in it Christianity is closely intertwined with local worldviews.

Moreover, Filipino healers perform their miracles of healing, being inspired, so to speak, by prayers. Philippine Catholic Church officially recognizes the surgical operations of healers as one of the manifestations of the divine miracle of healing.

Patient preparation

Not only the operating process itself is important, but also the preparation of the patient for treatment. Heeler starts working with the patient long before the operation itself begins. The medicine of the peoples of the Philippines is focused on primarily working with the spiritual essence of a person.

The healing process, in which both the sick and the healer are involved, consists not only in the physical improvement of the person's condition, but also in the healing of the spirit and consciousness. Preparing the patient for surgery includes communicating with the surgeon, meditation, preliminary theoretical introduction with the upcoming process.

Before the start of the surgery, the patient still receives anesthesia, but not in the form we are used to. Healer, with the help of special movements, introduces the patient in a state of full or partial (as partial anesthesia).

A person can feel the process of the operation while being conscious. But there is no pain or other unpleasant sensations. There may be a slight tingling or tapping sensation in the surgical site. So those who, from their own experience, were convinced of the reality of the methods of Filipino healers, report their impressions.

Filipino Healer Treatment Process

The way the healer's operation looks from the outside seems to be something supernatural or outright fraudulent.

A seemingly ordinary person stands over the patient. He is in a state of semi-consciousness. And then the doctor runs his hands over the patient's body, as if scanning him. Then the hands stop in a certain zone (this is exactly the zone in which the patient has health problems). And then, as if the healer's fingers penetrate the body of the person lying in front of him and unimaginable manipulations begin.

With dexterous movements of his fingers, the healer makes some kind of passes. We see blood or something that looks like blood, but it does not flow, as we panically expect when we see a tear in the skin. Healer continues the treatment by removing blood clots or other substance from the person's body with his bare hands. This is the reason why the patient is not feeling well. So (naturally, differently in each case) Filipino healers are treated.

It is natural that some observers and those who simply learned about the fact of Filipino medicine take such manipulations sharply: with distrust and open accusations of quackery.

Attempts to expose the techniques of healers

Skeptical attacks on the miraculous practice of exotic healers were followed in the last century by attempts to explain the "show" they were organizing in front of the public. Healers in the Philippines are still actively provoking skeptics into all kinds of checks.

The process of operating with bare hands has been explained by various extraordinary interpretations. "Penetration" of the healer's hands under the skin of a person is nothing more than a high-class illusion. The emerging "blood" and the "clots" of illness (or bad energy) that appear - a cleverly made puncture of a special bag of liquid (even chicken blood, maybe), taken by a charlatan as a props for a "trick".

However, some people still claimed that after the healing session, their health improved. To this convinced skeptics argue that healers have the gift of hypnotic influence and convince their "victims" that they really got better.

A skeptic's point of view

There are many things that can be viewed skeptically about the Filipino method of treatment. Why, almost everything! To do a complex operation with your hands, not to infect an infection and get a positive result for the patient's health is from the realm of fantasy.

When familiarizing with the miraculous treatment, questions after questions arise, and this is natural. So why do people in the Philippines still get sick and die with such opportunities? The abilities of healers are beyond our comprehension, but they cannot achieve such results.

With its miraculousness and dozens extraordinary stories people who have been healed by healers on the Flippins and outside the islands, they can not do everything.

Do healers really penetrate the tissues of the body with their hands?

Healers who are interested in the practice of psychosurgery are tormented by one important question: do the doctor's hands really penetrate the patient's body? Does this really happen without the help of tools, like conventional surgeons?

Alternative medicine, the types of which amaze the minds of most visitors to clinics, has a rich palette of methods. Mental surgery tools of healers among them occupy a prominent place, and here's why.

The answer to the question that worries us will be yes (if we take our trust in the Filipinos and their miracles of healing as a starting point). Healers penetrate the physical body of a person, but this does not happen with every operation. According to the healers themselves, there is not always a need for this.

Why is it so? The healers also give a completely understandable explanation for this. Illness arises from the appearance of bad, unhealthy energy in a person's energy body. It is she who is fished out of the patient by the Filipino healers during the sessions. Often, to carry out such a psycho-operation, it is not necessary to open the physical body.

The very same penetration of the hands of the healer into the body can be compared to immersion in water. Water molecules seem to part in front of our hands, allowing them to freely carry out any action in the water. Likewise, thanks to an innate special talent, the healer enters the human body. Incredible - but maybe real!

What can't healers do?

Points of view on the Philippine phenomenon are different due to the fact that only a small number of people have experienced it for themselves or have reliable sources of information about it. However, from any point of view, a natural question arises: what is beyond the power of healers?

Like traditional medicine, Filipino treatment cannot extend a person's intended lifespan. You can remove the disease, thus returning yourself to your allotted time.

Mental illness is also beyond the power of healers. Although they deal with the human spirit, the ability to influence the mental is limited. This can be explained somewhat simplistically. Philippine surgery is, first of all, surgery, that is, it involves the extraction of unhealthy tissues from the human body. With the psyche, healers are not able to carry out such manipulations.

Let's add to this the fact that, as in all spheres of activity, there are good specialists and not very good ones. This also applies to Filipino healers.

Specialization of Filipino Physicians

Personal abilities are of great importance in which direction of treatment the healer will most develop. For example, one of the best healers in the Philippines, Labo works with tumors and has become widely known outside his country for this very reason. Other illnesses are also amenable to the miraculous treatment of a renowned healer.

Another Filipino physician, Jose Segundo, is best at manipulating teeth.

Healing principles in practice

As for what a conscientious healer will undertake and what not, the situation will be the same as with traditional doctors. Healer will undertake to treat any patient, even if his condition is hopeless. Just like our doctors, he will try to extend the life of a person or reduce his suffering.

As for the issue of treating mental illness, the healers themselves openly say that this area is not in their power. In local, Filipino medicine, of course, you can find such specialists, but this will already be a completely different type of healing. Most often, the locals assign this eerie concept of "exorcism". Other representatives of local medicine are engaged in healing souls from "demons".

Are the possibilities of Filipino healers real or

It is impossible to draw unambiguous conclusions about the reality of the fact of healing according to the method of Filipino doctors based on everything we know. To believe or dissuade completely, you need to face an amazing phenomenon with your own eyes.

As with any theory, there will always be those who agree and those who are against. You can find many facts confirming the reality of the phenomenon or fraud. Our choice remains ours: we ourselves choose the sources we trust.

It is unambiguous that alternative medicine in the form of healers has acquired another mind-damaging technique on the way to health.

Among the healers, there are undoubtedly people who have a certain gift. The deeds of such healers thunder throughout the world and deserve the deepest respect and admiration. There are also charlatans, whose plans are only to cash in on the trust gained by true healers.

Note that the acute rejection of the fact of healers in our country, and many others, is due to the difference in worldview. It is difficult for us to imagine that a person can have such power over physical and mental matters. But in countries where the most ancient folk beliefs have survived, people readily believe in this. Apparently there are reasons ...

Summarizing what has been said ...

Filipino healers are an extraordinary phenomenon in the rich world of various unconventional medical teachings. They can heal a person by performing surgery without tools or pharmaceuticals.

We first learned about healers as miraculous healers in the 16th century. Since then, they have become known in all countries, and views on healers have remained controversial. No wonder: it is extremely difficult to believe in a miracle among the usual things.

We hope our article has brightened your pastime and quenched your thirst for knowledge about such interesting phenomenon of our world as a Filipino healer.

Hello dear readers. I am glad to welcome you again on the pages of my blog. Filipino healers, truth or fiction - read my review on the treatment and exposure of the so-called surgeons without knives. I returned from a trip where I experienced this miracle healing technique on my own experience and now I want to share my impressions with you and tell everything as it is. Watch the video or read the article. I would be glad if you leave your comment and share your thoughts about these so-called “doctors”.

Trip to the Philippines

Quite a tiring flight from Moscow to Manila, the capital of the Philippines, with a transfer in Istanbul. Our entire team gathered at the Manila airport. We all flew on different flights from different countries... With someone we flew together from Moscow, someone joined in Istanbul, and a couple more people flew in from Bali. Having rented a car, we went inland, to the town of Urdaneta. As we listened to the stories of our friends who had already been there, our group was filled with mixed feelings. I initially questioned everything, but I wanted to see the miracle with my own eyes, others believed in this healing method and hoped to solve their health problems.

Two famous healers live in Urdanet, Esther Bravo and Aurelia. Here we were heading for them. We arrived late at night and settled in some kind of resort, not far from Urdaneta, but the next day we moved to a cottage, which we rented from the healer Esther, who actually planned to undergo procedures.

Treatments by the healer Esther Bravo in the Philippines

In the morning we did not have time for treatment, and came to the second block, which began at 16.00. All procedures are carried out in the church. Esther Bravo is the leader of this church, preacher and “doctor” - healer all rolled into one. Esther in a white coat, reads a short sermon on the need to believe in the Lord and the Lord can heal all diseases, reads something from the Bible, offers prayers and then begins treatment sessions.

Photo and video filming in the church is prohibited, but when no one was there, I took a couple of pictures.

People and visitors sit on the benches and take numbers, and Esther calls them for a session using these numbers.
In front of us were 2 women from Europe, I'm not exactly sure where, but apparently from Switzerland. Then we followed, all in turn. During the procedures, when they are done to your friends, you are allowed to come up and look at what is happening.

The first thing that bothered me was that the healer starts the treatment with a closed palm. That is, the hand dives under the table and from there it appears with clenched fingers and the knifeless operation immediately begins. Blood appears, which it extracts from the body, then the blood is wiped away and no traces of interference remain.

When my turn came, I was no longer satisfied with what I saw, although other members of our expedition were fascinated by what was happening. I shared my doubts, but in order not to whip up skepticism on others, I did not argue, but simply watched.
They also performed a so-called operation on my stomach, wiped off the blood and I left. But during the treatment procedure, this blood spilled inaccurately over my stomach and got on my underwear, leaving a large stain. I kept this linen, deciding to carry out an examination without fail.

I felt absolutely nothing. All these stories that people supposedly feel that they are being penetrated inside - I consider nothing more than a great imagination and self-hypnosis from the sight of blood.

The next day we went back to the sessions and I shared my doubts with one of our team members. In church, we met one Russian guy, we even made friends with him - it turned out a good man... He is a volunteer and lives next to Esther, helping her in her preaching mission. We expressed our doubts to him and asked the healer to show his open palms before starting the operation. He conveyed our request to her, she said ok, but in fact everything went as usual))) And moreover, the healer already suspected my distrust, and after she did not show her hand while doing the session, my friend lay down on the table, and I watched closely. She didn’t do a session for him, she said that his heart was beating hard, but it wasn’t so, he felt great. My doubts intensified. Ahead of us was an acquaintance with another healer, but in order to finish reviewing Esther's treatment, I will tell you the last episode.

Our team was divided into two camps)) I and another person already harshly questioned everything that happened there, the other three continued to believe. We shared our doubts with the Russian volunteer guy I mentioned above.

We had three complaints:

  • Clenched fingers at the beginning of the procedure
  • You cannot enter from the healer's side during a session
  • Do not give the extracted material and tissue with blood to the patient.

As you remember, I still hid one element of my clothes, which, apart from our team, so far no one knew about.

Our doubts were transferred to the healer and she told me to come to the session and she would give me everything that she would take from my body. I even started to worry a little that she would make a real cut in me, I told about this in more detail in the video, the link to which is at the top of this article. But my fears were in vain, the healer did not conduct a session for me, she said that I did not need a session anymore. Thus, I once again confirmed our points, which I mentioned above.

Heeler Aurelia, Urdaneta

Literally next door, the second healer lives. She accepts exclusively on Saturdays. She has quite a lot of local visitors. It is less popular among foreigners, but sometimes groups from Europe and Russia come to it.
Everything happens in approximately the same scenario, at first a short sermon, prayers and then the beginning of the sessions. Aurelia allowed us to film the video, on the condition that we do not film her face. Her sessions look more spectacular, she takes out various pieces of organs, blood clots, etc. Since I had already come with the specific purpose of taking the extracted material with me, I was not impressed by this. I took what I came for and left this place. Aurelia saw my distrust and even said about it during the session, you can hear it on the video.

Expertise and exposure

Returning to Moscow, I began to look for laboratories that would accept the samples I brought for examination. As a result, I found the state forensic medical examination and passed everything there. I had several samples. A piece of linen that Esther stained with blood. Pieces of bandages with blood, which I discreetly took after the sessions from Aurelia. And a cotton swab with blood, with which we wiped the belly of our friend, did not completely remove the blood from his belly. A few drops remained, which we carefully wiped off with a cotton swab and took it with us.

The study lasted several days and here is the result:

No human blood was found on the test samples, the blood belongs to a pig.

The power of self-hypnosis, and faith is capable of working miracles with people. has not been canceled yet. And all these tricks with blood are intended only to strengthen faith in this process.

Evidence of deception

I have shared mine personal experience, and you already decide for yourself whether you should spend your time and money on trips to Filipino healers, who supposedly cure all diseases.

That's all, thank you for your attention.
Best regards, Ruslan Tsvirkun.

It is quite difficult to judge the level of medicine in the Philippines unambiguously - on the one hand, most local population living in rural areas of the country, lives below the poverty line and often has no opportunity to seek qualified medical care. On the other hand, many private clinics in the Philippines are JCI accredited, which is a guarantee that all the services provided in these hospitals High Quality and spectrum.

About the healthcare system in the Philippines

The country has social health insurance, which applies to the working category of citizens and their families. It implies benefits for a certain list of medical services and makes it possible to use medical care in public institutions free of charge if necessary to provide first and emergency aid.

About three quarters of the hospitals in the Philippines are privately owned and costly, especially in terms of local living standards. As a result, most Philippine citizens do not have access to the necessary medical care and prefers to turn to traditional methods of treatment. The best clinics are located in Davao, Seba, Manila, where the service is comparable to the best medical institutions in other countries. However, all of them are private, while in public hospitals the quality of medical services not only does not meet international standards, but often only reaches the level of first aid.

The high level of medical services is confirmed by the presence of such medical facilities as the Hospital of St. Luke, located in Manila and the Makati Medical Center. They are equipped with the best European equipment for performing operations of any complexity and other medical services, as well as highly qualified specialists who are able to provide these services. In small settlements medical care is represented by small clinics capable of providing only the most primitive medical services - for more serious help you need to contact the nearest large cities.

In the Philippines, especially in rural areas, sellers of medicinal potions and tinctures are especially popular, in large part due to the fact that medical care is practically not available to the rural population, and medicines are too expensive for most Filipinos. Due to the high cost of traditional medicine, many Filipinos prefer treatment from traditional healers - the so-called healers.

Additional information for foreigners

No vaccination certificate is required to enter the country. The exceptions are cases of stay from places where yellow fever is common.

Despite the recommendations regarding the presence of a medical pole of an international standard, foreign citizens you need to know that between the Philippines and a number of countries there are no mutual agreements on the provision of medical care and insurance policies often do not have their own force, their use is possible only in a number of resort areas and is far from complete.

Due to some difficulty in providing medical care, many emigrants resort to the services of private doctors and private home care. Most tourist complexes and hotels there are small medical centers and private practitioners.

All medical services in the Philippines are provided exclusively on a paid basis and are quite expensive.

On May 9, 2005 he returned from the Philippines. There are a lot of impressions, although I'll start from the beginning ...
Why did you choose this country? Honestly - to see the work of a healer and get medical treatment if possible, other sights such as the sea, people, country, impressions are somehow left behind.

We flew super - Qatar airways, 4 hours to Doha, transfer 30 minutes and 10 hours to Manila by Airbaus A 320 / A 330.

Very hot and humid, the tropics after all. Next Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Manila
In the morning a trip to the long-awaited healer, Romy Piodosu. 70 km to the other end of the city along narrow streets, 2 hours drive. It seems that the city never ended, houses, houses, houses ... Limestone and palm trees, that's all the materials! A small mansion with a high fence, a bunch of certificates and photographs, congratulations and thanks. It turns out to meet his wife, explains through an interpreter what will happen and how, that it is better for skeptics and dissatisfied people to leave right away! The place is like in a church, everything is in icons and candles, everything is white and light. The operation is done, so to speak, "on the altar" in a tiny room, they say there is a place for prayer! Since there is a lot of work (clients), no diagnostics - either you go to bed and the healer does what he sees fit, or you stand and watch.

Well, did they fly in vain just to see? When there is still time, and the stomach aches. Everyone who lived in a hostel at the institute has gastritis. Resolved - we treat! And then how it goes! For those who lie down - first for a massage to warm up the body, then one by one you go "to the altar". Before that, they give out a personal amulet for life! You can shoot on camera and stand nearby if the patient permits. Girls usually do not let men look for obvious reasons, you lie in shorts alone. You better not look at others before the operation, it's scary even for persistent men, the impression is certainly strong.

I wait for my turn, I go in, I go to bed. A quick glance all over the body, the healer enters the 4th state and drove off. You just lie down, they dig into you. The impression that they did a local anesthesia does not hurt anywhere, but it is felt that they are digging in you, pinching, pulling something. Blood flows, squishes, flies out under pressure. Almost everyone did it - stomach, liver, kidneys, spleen. Further, as he saw fit - heart, goiter, head. More than 3-5 visits to the body are not recommended, so everyone (except me) was assigned to come tomorrow to do the back, eyes, varicose veins on the legs, spine, appendages, etc. ...
