Tent camp-camping of active rest "KILPOLA" is a summer recreation center on the most beautiful island in the skerries. Kilpola Island is the second largest, after about. The island and surrounding areas have a very ancient history, in the area of the village of Tiurulu, settlements of people of the Stone Age from the 4th-5th millennium BC were discovered, there are many old ruins, farms and ancient monuments of stone architecture on the island - all this has not yet been fully explored and you can discover or find something yourself. something new.

Rules for living and resting in a tent camp:
1. Campers should not interfere with the rest of others by their inappropriate behavior, hooliganism, excessive noise. After 23.00, collective events and parties are undesirable.
2. On the territory of the camp, in the village of Berezovo, in the water area of Lake Ladoga and on the islands, we kindly ask you not to litter or make fires in places that are not equipped for this.
3. Each item has an owner - if you need something or you want to take something, ask the person on duty beforehand.
4. The shared kitchen can only be used for cooking. Do not leave behind dirty dishes, stoves and other kitchen utensils.
5. When renting a watercraft, do not forget to take life-saving equipment - life jackets, scoop. Remember - in the boat you must be in life jacket... Do not leave the boats unattended; upon returning to the base, take your personal belongings, oars, and other items from the boat.
6. Residents must maintain proper cleanliness and order in tents and the surrounding area. When returning the tent, remove and take out the garbage, sweep it in the tent, ventilate and dry the sleeping bags - otherwise, you will be charged a final cleaning fee of 100 rubles.
7. Do not use the forest and the area adjacent to the camp as a toilet.
8. The use of portable gas stoves (primus) without the knowledge of the base administration is not allowed.

Nutrition:
Tourists prepare food on their own. Campfire sites are equipped with campfire stoves, there is enough brushwood and dead wood in the surrounding area. It is better to bring coal for the barbecue with you.
By prior arrangement, it is possible to organize meals for groups of 15 people or more.
It is possible to order groceries and delivery to the camp from the mainland.
!!! There are no shops and cafes in the camp and in the immediate vicinity !!!
Security:
The camp has the necessary fire extinguishing equipment, a first-aid kit and first aid from the camp attendant around the clock, if the rules for living in the KILPOLA camp are violated, the guards will be denied entry to the guards.
Children under 14 years old are allowed on vacation only if accompanied by an adult.
What to take with you:
a backpack without a machine or a travel bag;
comfortable hiking clothes: trousers and a light jacket with a hood (anorak), a shirt with a long sleeve, woolen socks 2 pairs, plain socks 2 - 3 pairs, a bathing suit, T-shirts, cotton gloves, a hat with a visor, a warm jacket, woolen hat, sweater, rain cover, change of underwear.

personal items: sunglasses, a bowl, a mug, a spoon, a knife, a flashlight with a set of spare batteries, sun and after sun cream, a small polyurethane seat mat, personal hygiene products, an individual first aid kit;
documents in sealed packaging: passport, medical insurance policy.

How to get there:
By car along Priozerskoe highway to Priozersk, then along the road to Sortavala to the village of Berezovo (153 km), the first turn to the right 50 m after the sign "BEREZOVO" and then straight 300 m to two wooden towers with a cannon ("Streletsky prison"), before the prison to the left to the gates of the tourist center 30 m.
By train to the station. Kuznechnoye from Finland Station, then by taxi to the village of Berezovo, the Burevestnik base.
Further on Lake Ladoga, delivery to the camp is carried out by boat or motor boat (see delivery cost). You can walk to the camping on the island of Kilpola on your own by renting a boat or kayak at the hostel.
Well, we went! :) But tomorrow we didn't manage to go, and we left in a couple of days.

Of course, we plan to get rid of packages in our further trips. We will buy inflatable compact life jackets and take other measures to reduce the amount of equipment we carry.
We sat down early in the morning on the train at the Finlyandsky railway station, but we never got to Karelia, only three kilometers. Let's go to the camping "Park Ladoga", located in the "Bay of tourists" in the very north of the Leningrad region, just north of the city of Priozersk. From Priozersk we got by taxi to the "Tikhaya" pier at the mouth of the river of the same name. It was possible, of course, to swim from the pier to the Bay of tourists on our (2 km, along the coast along Ladoga), but since we went there for the first time, and a tangible blow was blowing towards North wind, decided not to "butt with the elements", and we used the service of throwing into the bay on motor boat provided by the staff of the "Park Ladoga" camping.
Having reached the bay, we chose a place for parking, and while we set up our little camp, we made a supper - dusk descended, and on that day we did not take any other action. We decided to postpone the walks for the next day. We fiddled with our way of life a little and went to bed.
The next morning was clear, with occasional clouds. Since we set up a camp on a rock overgrown with pine trees, the view of Ladoga from there opened up very pleasant for contemplation.
The tent, which I have already made, stands on the rocks, sprinkled with a thin layer of humus and moss, as if it had grown here :)
We climbed even higher on the rocks.
Moss is everywhere, more like snow and all kinds of edible berries.

After a while, a campsite employee who took us to the bay on the eve by a motor boat suggested that we arrange an excursion on the same boat across Lake Ladoga and nearby islands and attractions. Why not ?!)

First we got to largest island Ladogi - Kilpola Islands. We have been on it before, but in the northern part of it. And this time we were waiting for the "Komarina" bay over which rises completely sheer cliff- Mount Rullalahdenvuori. The height is 52 meters, and for this region, this is a very high point. Despite the ominous :) name, the bay greeted us quite hospitably.
Having unloaded from the boat, we went around the steep part of the mountain in order to climb it along a more gentle slope. The excursion was also joined by a young couple with children, who camped about thirty meters from our tent.
The ascent was not difficult, since everything in this event was wonderful - the weather, the mood and the scenery.

Having admired the views, we went downstairs, loaded onto the boat and headed towards the coast. The next attraction we were heading to were the quarries of the 18th century, where granite was mined under Catherine II for the construction of the embankments of the Neva River. At the same time it was closed, apparently due to low profitability.
I would like to note that the north-western part of Ladoga is strewn with archipelagos of small islets. There is even an island with a romantic unearthly name "Cucumber" :) An elongated structure, one hundred meters long and ten meters across, folded with boulders and overgrown with pine trees.

And so, the boulder was dug out - you can put on a life vest and swim home. The boulder was put in a pocket and safely thrown away in the camp.

And then they showed us the following ... A ten-centimeter wide pink edging along coastline... They say that it is amethyst sand. It is necessary to consult with fellow geologists and clarify - could this be in that area?)

A little further north, near the village of Berezovo, there is someone - an excellent choice for families with children. as there is an animator and a rich entertainment program.
