I want to make a reservation right away that I am writing a review as a mother of a 2 year old child! This is not my first time in this country, with a child this is already the second vacation (though not in this country) and therefore there is an impression of the vacation. And perhaps having gone to this hotel with a girlfriend, alone with my husband or a cheerful company, the impressions would be different, since I would not care about a restful sleep at lunchtime, at night, regime, food and comfort!
The flight from Moscow flew in the afternoon, my daughter played, walked the plane, watched cartoons (saved the tablet), while drinking and eating, slept for 2 hours, then they gave out a set of games in a box and that's it ... landing. We flew Transaero Boeing 747 and took a seat on the 2nd floor behind the business back and forth with an extra charge. The return flight was delayed by 2 hours, the departure was at 22 this is her bedtime and she slept the entire flight. But changing the time zone for the child was very difficult. It seems to me that children under one year old can bear it easier, but it was a pity to look at older children - exhausted, swollen, pale, with not slept eyes, they fell asleep at dinner right at the tables. Ours was the same, at nights I could not sleep for 3-4 days normally, both on arrival there, on returning home. At home, in general, only today the first night I slept on December 19, and we arrived on the 13th! We decided not to torment the child anymore and look for an alternative, or the possibility of a summer vacation (due to the specifics of the work, the husband cannot)
Upon arrival in Punta Cana. There was no queue, we passed the queue with the child. An individual transfer from the airport was ordered ... from this, the mood began to spoil in anticipation of the vacation. And the vacation was long-awaited !!! We made a mistake and did not provide a transfer. The child passed out at the airport as soon as we got a stroller and we were on a shared bus. Well at least there weren't a lot of people and the ride was 30 minutes. But this does not apply to the hotel. The hotel was at 4 am Moscow time, in the DR, respectively, 20-00. Booked a room in Bavaro marked on the 2-3 floor and with an additional payment for a superior room under the agreement. Accommodation took 20-30 minutes. They brought me to building 71 by delivery. Honestly, I haven't experienced such a shock for a long time. As soon as they opened the door, a terrible smell of mold hit the nose, there was a huge mosquito on the floor, heaps of dead midges, mold was visible on the walls and ceiling of the bathtub and under the kondeem. From this type of room and fatigue I wanted to cry and go back home! I put my sleeping daughter on the bed and the blanket smelled AWESOME (this is not nit-picking) and everything seemed to be damp. And then the adjoining door opens and a girl from our plane enters, they were settled in the next room and we were separated by the adjoining door, the audibility was colossal, I heard what they were saying not loudly. My husband went to the reception twice and talked that we would be resettled at least overnight in normal conditions. While he figured out for 3 hours, no matter how hard I tried, the child and me were bitten by mosquitoes. At 7 am Moscow time, we were transported to a room at the Premier Hotel, which is an order of magnitude cheaper than Bavaro, quite far from the sea on the 3rd floor of building 53. But many times better is quieter and quieter than this Bavaro anthill, as it turned out later. Only the next day, after 2 pm, we were able to move to Bavaro in building 30, building number 311. 5 minutes walk to the sea and 5 minutes to the restaurant. With a small child, it is convenient, since movement is mainly a stroller, either on foot or on dad's neck. We drove a couple of times, but while you wait, you’ll get there faster. And there is also a possibility that the place will not be free.

I read reviews about the hotel who rested with the kids. Once again, I repeat that I am not whining, but indignant that when booking a hotel all the conditions were negotiated, the notes were sent and the hotel confirmed everything, therefore, I think that we could immediately offer an alternative, since the hotel was not yet available by our arrival on November 21 as crowded as say in 5 days! Well, neither how I could not understand why not offer an alternative right away, knowing that all good numbers are already occupied, even if at least in the Premiere (offered only after 3 hours of communication at the reception), even with an extra charge to Esmeralda, seeing that a family with a small child , we were the only ones at the reception with a toddler. On the issue of communication, the husband spoke fluent English.
Okay, the vacation seems to have started from the second day.
ROOM is nice spacious, large bed and sofa, plasma TV, ironing board, mini-bar, everything in the bathroom is in working order - plumbing and hairdryer. We mostly needed water and beer for my husband, at the very beginning they reminded me a couple of times to replenish the mini-bar, then the cleaning lady herself clarified whether they brought it or not. I will add a photo of the room. Of the minuses, I can only note small, fast running ants, so nothing was left on the tables and I kept food for the child in the refrigerator. When cleaning, they are treated with an insect spray, the smell remains disgusting if you are lucky enough to get into the room right away. It did not help for long - by evening the ants were all in place. Cleaning for 5+, every day regardless of tip, everything is great. Towels are changed, the floor is washed, the bathroom is cleaned, the bed is made, the mini-bar is replenished. Fairy tale!) Because of the regime, the child was often left with a "do not disturb" sign before lunch. But the audibility is horror, the doors of the rooms are slammed shut only with a bang, it is not possible to close quietly, conversations are audible, the cleaning ladies like to shout out from neighboring houses, talking to each other. This is me about a relaxing break for lunch! The child was asleep, of course, but strained. Then they found a calm, windless place on the beach and laid them in a carriage for a nap. We went to bed at night at 21-22, often at 23 we received a phone call from the guest service with questions, the guide or electricians knocked on the door, whether everything was fine with us (the sign - do not disturb was ignored). And you can't sleep at lunchtime and there is no rest at night! And by the end of the month, some kind of summer cottage season began - for three days they mowed the lawns, blew off the leaves, the transport drove to collect garbage. Noise, vanity .. it didn't smell like heaven!
The TERRITORY is large green, with beautiful green lawns, palm trees, flowers. But everything is spoiled by the constant movement of delivery cars, service personnel and mopeds, which, instead of moving along the main three roads for movement, cutting off, drive 20 km per hour along the pedestrian zone. You only have time to jump away from them, grabbing the child! EXHAUST GAS ODOR HORRIBLE! Somehow, after the rain, I walked down the street in shale - then I barely washed my feet of black diesel oil or fuel oil (I don't understand which drips from these cars). The child constantly had to either be carried in a stroller, or held by the hand or pulled. Walking through the territory is not possible calmly! This is a huge disadvantage to the hotel. There are three main roads - little trains run along them (the child called them that), but it turns out that on the territory children can walk and run calmly only in the lobby.
For kids, a small water park (they were there only once, the water is colder than in the sea) kids club (pool with balls, cartoons, games, playground) We came with our daughter if the weather was bad or there was time before dinner). Works up to 17 hours. I watched the animation in the club: the children are not particularly watched or played, the children are on their own - looking for something to do or watching cartoons, eating chips with a fizzy. I didn’t understand why the children often ran with wet heads - there were fans and candles running, then I saw a kids club near the water park. The animators have just begun to learn Russian. And my daughter liked the playground behind the kids club: slides, houses, swings, wheelchairs, tables and chairs and toys for sand. Children often came and always were. It was fun! Their toys for the sand were then taken there upon departure. Dance after dinner to lively music and run around the tree in the lobby. This is where the children's entertainment on the territory ends (the sea doesn't count) and we didn't really need them - our daughter fell asleep after dinner. You can also look at ducks and turtles on the way to the sea, they swim in the swamp. We called it that - an abandoned piece of the coastal zone on the territory of the hotel. The smell from it in the heat is not pleasant. The swamp is just from which there are many mosquitoes. The fumigator in the room worked 21 days, 24 hours a day. Only after a week, when people and children were terribly bitten, they began to cultivate the territory of the hotel - it became much smaller and it was possible to sleep with an ajar balcony. Air conditioning is very noisy, turned on when leaving the room. At night it became terribly humid and stuffy, the child did not sleep well, and you open the window - mosquitoes. Humidity 70%!
The hotel was overcrowded, at that moment a real ARVI epidemic began! The whole hotel was sneezing and coughing - adults and children, service staff met too! You open a window in the morning and instead of birds singing and the sound of the wind someone sneezes or coughs ... everywhere in the restaurant, on the beach, in the lobby, people went sneezing for a week, with red noses from snot, and then a terrible cough appeared! From the beginning, my daughter flooded, the next day my husband. Temperature 37 one day and weakness. It didn't look like acclimatization, since we had been there for a week and the fact that a lot of people in the hotel got sick looked more like a real epidemic. I had symptoms after my daughter and spouse recovered, when we were already told about the seasonal ARVI, that the local children had been ill and apparently the staff brought it to the hotel. True, my symptoms were only 2-3 days and the people at the hotel were already on the mend, although before our departure sneezing and coughing vacationers began to meet again, my husband also joked that he would rather go home from this infirmary.
BEACH AND POOL The first 5 days were wonderful, there were not many people, but then just a bunch of people settled in and the hotel looked like an anthill. After breakfast by the pool, you can't find a place anymore, everything is covered with towels. At the same time, we had breakfast early at 7-8 o'clock due to the child's regimen. The sun loungers by the pool on the beach are the same. Sun loungers by the sea could be found, but because of strong wind with the child I wanted to find a place next to the strip of Esmeralda's sunbeds - there the wind was less strong and it was comfortable with the child. That is, people get up at 6 in the morning and take sun loungers. Until recently, we tried not to resort to such a thing, but we got tired of running around the beach with a stroller and a child in search of a place. The last 5 days also took. There was an opportunity to put the child to sleep on the beach in a stroller and relax for a couple of hours. It is quiet there, in contrast to the noise and din by the pool. The beach is normal, but a sun lounger on a sun lounger - I'm not happy, there were cigarette butts in the sand, but this is already on the conscience of vacationers. The attendants clean up and try to keep it clean, remove algae, decorate palm trees, water and level the sand, arrange sun loungers. Photo coastline I think the hotel is generally cheating. But the porridge at breakfast, on the contrary, improved, from the beginning they put cinnamon in it, the children spat and mine, too, ate without enthusiasm, and then the cinnamon was already standing alone, and the porridge was delicious milk. Saved breakfast cereals with milk and yoghurts, they were very tasty, waffles, pancakes and pancakes with all kinds of jams, scrambled eggs, hard eggs (I didn't take scrambled eggs until black), croissants and pastries are delicious. For breakfast and lunch, I could find something for the child. Lunch at the very least some kind of vegetable puree soup that could be given to a child, the second was on some smelly meat broth. They have a children's menu: horrible sausages, fries and disgusting hamburger patties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no vegetarian table, I have already written about raw vegetables that cannot be eaten. There were a couple of delicious eggplants and carrots. A couple of times in 21 days! For dinner, the child ate mostly macaroni and cheese and watermelon for the entire vacation. She loves chicken with me, but she didn't take it in her mouth, I myself tried it a couple of times, so-so, with some kind of incomprehensible aftertaste, the grilled chicken was delicious a couple of times. Sausages are generally of terrible quality, sometimes delicious stewed meat was served, I gave it to my daughter. Undercooked rice, a specific my child does not eat, a couple of times came across delicious. Fruits for C grade: watermelons are very tasty, pineapple too, the rest are so-so, mango disappeared on day 5 and never met again, bananas if you get up early to open tomorrow by 7 o'clock you will be lucky! Juices at breakfast are freshly squeezed and very diluted with water. Dinner was mostly pasta. Ice cream is delicious, desserts are so-so. A week later, queues for pasta and fruit began, it killed me altogether! In the restaurant itself, the air conditioner is turned on and it's pretty cool, there are a lot of mosquitoes - they took a sweater for our daughter. By the end of the first week, the restaurant resembled a market, for such a large restaurant it was necessary to make two food zones, and not one, because people walk with plates, dodging each other as if from obstacles, constantly like ants along the paths between the tables at each other and sit there is no possibility in a calm atmosphere. And the service personnel are in large volume and all this resembles some kind of eatery on the market, rather than a restaurant. The hum, the bustle, the clatter of dishes - they tried to quickly feed the child, have something to eat and leave this place.
The staff is great, they quickly cleans the tables and escorts them to a free clean table, depending on how many seats are needed - I liked it. We are always happy to help if you suddenly need something for your child. Once I asked to pour water into the grated carrot and sprinkle sugar - they looked at me in surprise! They love to slow down at the children's tablet for a minute and see Well, wait a minute!))) In general, the attitude towards children is excellent, they love children, they are happy to communicate, and by the end of the vacation my daughter greeted everyone and learned a couple of phrases in Spanish. At lunchtime, we often ate in bars on the beach, but there is less choice and there are no soups at all. Once I managed to escape from the hustle and bustle of a common restaurant to an Italian one.
