What to take for Goa in December. What to take with you to India (list of things)

The list of things is compiled for people who travel in Hindustan for the first time, based on personal experience the author for informational purposes.
The list includes things that have come in handy for me personally on my trips to different regions of India in different seasons, about which the corresponding disclaimer was made.

Most of the things and medicines we are used to are either also sold in India or have Indian counterparts, so it is not always advisable to take them with you. At the same time, if you climb into remote remote areas of India, you better stock up on what you need before leaving, the choice of goods in local shops is very limited. In addition, if you are not adapted to unsanitary conditions in order to feel protected, you should think about it before the trip.

Documents and most important

  • Ksivnik or napkin for carrying money and documents under clothes (preferably synthetic, thin and waterproof)
  • Passport + 2 photocopies of the first page and visa
  • printout electronic ticket in 2 copies.
  • Health insurance policy (optional) with copies
  • Denyuzhki cash in large bills (higher exchange rate) + a few small bills. V tourist centers change and travel checks and there are also ATMs.
  • Passport-sized photos, they are required when buying a local SIM card
  • Ball pen

Remedies:

Protection from insects (mandatory if you live near fresh water bodies and at an altitude of less than 2.5 thousand meters)

  • Spray Moskitol or Autan, but better rarely found in the sale spray Clove. Do not buy the cream, in India they make an excellent anti-mosquito cream ODOMOS.
  • Spray "REID" - kills everything that moves / if you are a supporter of ahimsa you can buy anti mosquito spirals, 18 rupees for 10 pieces, 1 spiral is enough for the night
  • Electric fumigator / in India there is, but not always there is electricity
  • Look for a cream after bites "KOMAREX" - cool thing, even wounds heal! / there is an Indian analogue of Kailash Jivan cream.

Sun remedies

  • Cream (oil, milk) from / for sunburn, determine yourself depending on the type of skin and the season, but the sun is hot. I used Amber Soler # 15, which is what I wish for you.
    If you climb into the Himalayas to an altitude of more than 3 km. or you will be walking on a glacier or snow - take a cream with maximum protection for your face, otherwise your face will be charred!
  • Milk for burns, such as blue Amber Soler or Kailash Jivan Indian cream
  • Hygienic lipstick with UV filter
  • A moisturizer for the face, although after-sun cream can also be used
  • Glasses with UV filter
  • Headdress. I prefer a kerchief, it is easier to soak it in water, which is sometimes necessary.

from dirt (asepsis)

  • Antiseptic (disinfecting) wipes for treating hands and devices before meals are desirable in big cities India.
  • Medical alcohol (for internal and external) - 2-3 cans of 100 ml. if you are very afraid of LCD infections, although alcohol in India is not of poor quality, but is cheap.
  • Manganese permanganate (crystalline potassium permanganate) - in the solution, you can wash the fruit and the stomach in case of poisoning too
  • For the treatment of the skin of the face and body during transfers and transitions, you can use wet cleansing wipes like Hygena.

Toiletries and other

  • Antibacterial soap - SafeGuard or similar with maximum protection / In India you can buy DETOL soap or liquid with the same properties.
  • Shampoo (best in sachets) / they are sold at street kiosks for Rs 2 per sachet
  • Toothpaste and brush / great toothpastes in India, ask at pharmacies
  • Sponge
  • Comb \ Hair Brush
  • Terry towel, if not too lazy to drag, in hotels they are not always available
  • double or 2 small sheets, in Indian hotels linen is often not fresh, even better a special cotton or silk cover for a sleeping bag
  • Strong synthetic rope for drying clothes, in guesthouses in India there is often nowhere to dry clothes
  • A small piece of laundry soap / powders in India are the same, households. the soap is blue, in my opinion it is better
  • Toilet paper / sold everywhere
  • Some paper napkins or tissue paper handkerchiefs
  • Cotton buds
  • Deodorant, nail file, razor, and whatever you use ... cosmetics, IMHO, won't come in handy

Household supplies

  • A mug for boiling water + a boiler + a spoon - if you like to eat / drink tea at night or do not like spicy, and if you are in relatively civilian places
  • A pocket knife, preferably a folding one with a fork and a bottle opener, if you wander into the Himalayas, you may have to eat without them with a spoon washed in cold water
  • The flashlight is better on batteries or self-loading. problems with electricity are quite common even in tourist places, but in star hotels there are always generators.
  • Candles (electricity is often cut off) and lighter / commercially available
  • Small padlock (for backpack) / commercially available
  • Needles, threads, pins + scissors

Healthy foods

  • Tea bags + sugar cubes + a little salt, in some places drinking normal tea is a big problem,
  • Instant rice porridge (in case of problems with acclimatization, spicy food)
  • Chips and chocolate (on the road)
  • Vobla, if you love her, and you will be able to pass through customs, sprats and other non-perishable ...
  • Cigarettes if you smoke
  • If you go to the Himalayas and love corpses - take freeze-dried meat, smoked sausage, sprats, etc. with myself. The most beautiful Himalayan state of India, Uttaranchal (Uttarakhand) is vegetarian.

IT IS USEFUL to take with you a thin (3 mm) metallized rug or yoga mat - you can sunbathe on the beach, yoga, rolled up it is convenient as a seat in temples and outdoors, in the cold you can sleep on it.

Clothes and footwear for India

  • Sneakers for long walks and journeys. For trekking in the Himalayas, special shoes are desirable, in any case, they should not get wet and slip.
  • Sturdy sandals with a stable, non-leather sole
  • Linen, socks (preferably cotton or other absorbent material)
  • windbreaker or sweater - it's cold on air-conditioned trains.

For Indian plains and beaches in spring and fall

  • light trousers and a skirt made of natural material
  • if there are semi-nylon "trousers turn into elegant shorts" - take it, the most practical travel clothing, washable easily, dries quickly.
  • a couple of T-shirts or light shirts / are on sale
  • swimsuit \ swimming trunks and beachwear

For easy trekking in the Himalayas

  • Polyethylene raincoat
  • a windbreaker with a lining or with a sweater. In the Himalayas above 2 km. in summer and early autumn, you need to take a trekking jacket, above 3 thousand - already a down jacket and preferably trekking boots or good ankle boots, above 4 and on glaciers without boots it already becomes dangerous.

Reading, photos and more

  • The dictionary is better than English-Russian-English, even if you know the language well
  • Phrasebook if language is bad
  • Notebook
  • Something kind, eternal that will harmonize you with the environment.
  • If the camera is digital, take the batteries for it. There is memory in India, as well as all kinds of video cassettes.

It is desirable that all this be folded into a small backpack or bag, but do not bother on purpose ... In India there was more of this than we have and much cheaper. It is advisable that your main large backpack is not filled with all of the above to the top, otherwise where will you put your souvenirs?
And you can also take the addresses of relatives and friends, because they will be terribly pleased to receive a postcard with a view of the Himalayas or the Taj Mahal :)

Achadidi's own experience

A dream has come true and the long-awaited vacation is just around the corner. Traveling to another country always requires careful preparation, especially if you are planning a vacation with children in India. You need to think in advance what to take with you to Goa, take into account the recommendations so that there is a reserve for all occasions. Civilization has long come even to the smallest resort towns, you can buy everything you need on the spot, but it is better to take the main part of things and medicines with you.

There are two ways to prepare for a trip.

  1. Take a minimum of things, buy beach accessories at a local bazaar or market already in Goa, and throw out unnecessary items when you leave. Prices for panama hats, flip flops, light shorts and T-shirts are affordable. The quality is not very good, but a vacation such things will stand up with flying colors.
  2. Collect luggage from your favorite clothes and not rely on chance.

What clothes to take in Goa?

Be sure to consider in which month the trip is planned. There are no special temperature differences, and the year is divided into dry and wet season... The most successful time is considered to be the period from early October to mid-March, only light things should be taken from clothes that do not lose their shape and protect from the hot sun. During the rainy season you will need:

  • raincoat;
  • boots;
  • umbrella.

For reinsurance, you can put one warm jacket or windbreaker, jeans, closed shoes in your suitcase. Sometimes the nights are cool by Indian standards. For hikers and hiking you will need closed clothes, sports shoes, a hat.

Important! Outside the beach, excessively open and tight clothes are not welcome; out of respect for the locals, it is worth including a few loose things with closed shoulders and knees in the wardrobe.

Hiking first aid kit

Its composition depends on the state of health of the traveler. The basis will be:

  • drugs for intestinal disorders, including activated charcoal, Imodium, Smecta;
  • hydrogen peroxide;
  • miramistin;
  • temperature remedies;
  • ointment for burns, for example, Bepanten;
  • pain relievers such as Nise, Nurofen, citramon;
  • cardiac, especially validol and corvalol;
  • antiallergenic;
  • regular and elastic bandage;
  • patch;
  • hygiene products for women.

Let this list be better left unclaimed than something is not at hand. To the list of which pills and medicines to take with you to Goa, drugs prescribed by a doctor are added if there are chronic diseases.

Consider! In India, many medicines are much cheaper, there are analogues with a more gentle effect, so you only need to take the necessary minimum with you.

What should you take with you to Goa first?

The most important point will be the documents. Take with them:

  • passport;
  • medical policy;
  • visa;
  • driver's license;
  • e-tickets.

Travel insurance is optional. But saving on health and safety is unwise. Under the agreement, insurance payments are made in case of loss of luggage, flight cancellation, and funds for treatment are compensated. The cost depends on the age, term and type of insurance, the number of included options.

The list of what you need to take with you to India in Goa also includes sunscreen, otherwise the rest may end on the day of arrival. The climate of the country differs from the Russian one, especially if you go there in autumn or winter. By this time, the skin loses its natural immunity to the active sun, which leads to burns.

Things to India must be collected very carefully, so as not to take too much and not forget what you will not find in India during the day with fire.

My backpack weighed 7.5 kg but I went to the north of India and took warm clothes and trekking boots. I tried to pack such a backpack so that they would let me on the plane with it - Aeroflot allows me to take up to 10 kg into the cabin. If you go to warm regions, then it is quite possible to collect a backpack and a smaller one - weighing 4-5 kg.

Here is a rough list of things to take with you to India. Something can be subtracted, and something, on the contrary, can be added

Documents and money

1. Passport with a visa of India. You need to have copies of your passport and tickets with you and keep them separately. You can also scan your passport and store the scan in your email. If you lose your passport, having a copy can speed up the receipt of a new one.

2. Air ticket + its photocopy (also in case of loss).

3. Cash (US dollars or euros). India is not accepted everywhere bank cards so it's better to have cash. Cards are needed to pay for tickets over the Internet.

4. Photos 3x4, can be useful for permits and additional visas (if you are going to border areas).

5. A handbag for documents and money.

6. A travel guide to India, for example, from Lonely Planet (you can buy it in bookstores or order online) or buy it already in India - I saw it there in Delhi and in small towns, you can buy a new or used one. An almost essential thing. Without it, I would have spent significantly more money and time. Better, of course, to buy it in advance so that you can read it before the trip.

Medicines and hygiene products

1. A small first aid kit in case of minor injuries (iodine, bandage, plaster, etc.).

2. Medicines in case of gastrointestinal tract malfunction: enterosgel or activated carbon, lactobacterin, immodium, etc. I took only coal, it was not useful to me. Coal on the basis that during illness (for example, diarrhea) you need to take 5-7 tablets (at the rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg of your weight) 3-4 times a day.

3. For headaches - citromone, ketans, etc.

4. If you are taking any medications, bring a supply with you.

5. In many states where malaria is prevalent, it is necessary to take prophylactic drugs for malaria.

7. From mosquitoes, products that are applied to the body and for indoor use (but there are no mosquitoes in the mountains)

8. Hygienic lipstick.

9. Drops or eye tetracycline ointment for conjunctivitis - may come in handy, the tube weighs quite a bit.

10. Personal hygiene products (pads for women in India are sold everywhere, it is more problematic with tampons and thin pads for every day).

11. Wet wipes, preferably antibacterial (available locally).

12. Sunglasses, if you use them.

13. Soap (but you can buy it on arrival), shampoo.

14. Potassium permanganate (for washing hands and fruits).

15. Sunscreen - getting sunburned is pretty easy. You can also buy it on the spot.

Clothes, shoes, etc.

1. Two sheets or one duvet cover. Bed linen in hotels is often of a dubious kind, unless it is, of course, the Imperial Hotel. You can also buy on the spot.

2. Clothes for hot weather. Women need to cover their shoulders, do not wear tight-fitting T-shirts (with the exception of Goa). In the rest of India, the customs are still strict, not even any T-shirt can be worn here. Dresses, blouses with and without embroidery can be bought in Delhi, cost 100-300 rubles, natural cotton. Indians, by the way, look very approvingly if foreigners walk around India in local clothes.

3. If you are going to the mountains, it is worth bringing clothes for the cool weather, but these can be bought cheap on the spot. But it is better to take trekking boots with you.

4. Rain cover (when hiking in the mountains in some months).

5. Sneakers, Velcro sandals.

6. A small backpack for a camera, water, etc., with which you will walk every day. If the gifts bought in India do not fit into the backpack you came with, you can buy a large and roomy Chinese-made tote bag cheaply locally.

Necessary little things

1. Knife (it is easy to buy on the spot, since you will not be allowed on the plane with it, you must check it in your luggage). Needed, for example, to peel or cut fruit.

2. A small padlock (they close the doors in hotels and chain bags under benches on the train) - but this is not necessary. I didn't have a castle with me, it is easy to buy it in India.

3. Flashlight, better LED. In some parts of India, electricity is often cut off.

4. Boiler (boil water for tea or for rinsing your mouth when brushing your teeth).

6. A metal mug (you can boil water in it).

7. Needles, threads, scissors (again, scissors will have to be checked in).

8. Tee - if you have a lot of equipment that requires recharging. Rooms often have only one socket. Easy to buy locally.

It is not necessary to collect a lot of toys and special bathing accessories, all of which can be purchased locally.

First aid kit

What will be very useful is the first aid kit, which will contain everything. It is worth stopping here and examining the question in more detail. You should not forget about these things:

  • Bandages, green stuff, hydrogen peroxide.
  • Good remedies for insect bites. It is important that they are tested and of high quality, since in an exotic country insects are carriers of many infectious diseases.
  • Drugs that relieve motion sickness.
  • Pain medications.
  • Thermometer and antipyretic drugs.
  • A medicine that allows the stomach to cope with specific Indian cuisine.
  • High SPF sunscreens
  • Personal hygiene products for the child.

Flight nuances

The flight will be quite long, but in most cases it is fascinating for the younger generation, moreover, there will certainly be one more, or even several couples with children on the plane, who can while away the time with each other.

The landing of an airplane is becoming less rosy for children. They may have ear pain or motion sickness. It is worth taking care of the mint candy, and massage of the dimples behind the ears will help with pain.

Be prepared that upon arrival in India you will have to wait another hour or even more in the queue for registration. Local hard workers perform their duties a little in slow motion without acceleration. So think about some kind of snack for the kids, by this time they will definitely get hungry.

When arriving in a country with special sanitary standards, carefully monitor the children, especially if your heirs are light-skinned and blond, this type of children delights local residents... Indians are a very iridescent and hospitable people with a great love for children, if they like a passing child, they can easily treat him with a local spice or a specific sweetness. It is this that should be monitored very closely, since not every adult organism can accept Indian delicacies without consequences, and especially for children.

Before you fly out of the airport, you need to take into account that the process of checking and marking baggage will take a lot of time, and the child will need to do something and eat.

A little about acclimatization

Upon arrival, you may be faced with such a concept as acclimatization, which is accompanied by diarrhea and a slight increase in temperature for a day. If the temperature is very high and lasts more than 24 hours, make sure to call a doctor. It is worth noting that this process is much easier in children. Don't worry if your child experiences an upset stomach. This is a normal phenomenon that should pass in a day. After all, the first aid kit will be with you!

Climate

Remember that India has a vastly different climate and higher humidity.

Another thing that you should be extremely careful with is street animals. They are quite cute and will not touch the child, but they can still harm if they share some local ailment.

When planning to visit India, the optimal period is to rest from the beginning of October to March. From April it starts raining for a couple of months, when everything is flooded with water and precipitation falls every day. And with the arrival of August, the heat starts when there is nothing to breathe, and even swimming in a pond does not save. You can hide from this by going to the northern part of the country.

List of necessary things

The documents

You must always have your passport, tickets and Indian visa with you. It is very convenient to store and carry them with you in a special bag on your belt. In no case should you take it off while moving. In addition, it is important to have copies of required documents and tickets to be kept separately. An alternative option can be scanned documents, which are conveniently stored on your phone or other convenient gadget. In an unpredictable situation, you can print them. When traveling around Goa, it is advisable to give the originals of documents to the hotel safe, and have copies with you. Thus, you can be sure that unpleasant situations are excluded during the rest.

Many people send scanned documents to their mail or upload them to a free photo hosting site. So, you can open access to them without a gadget. That is, using someone else's computer.

Money matters

It is convenient to take euros or dollars with you, they should be exchanged for rupees in India. You should also have with you plastic card... But first you need to make sure that it can be used in a given state. It is better to personally consult with the bank's specialists.

It is also important to remember that amounts in excess of $ 10,000 must be declared. In addition, in an exotic country, you should not pay with a credit card in the markets and in dubious trading stalls.

For baby

It should be understood that you need to take very little clothes. If necessary, your favorite things can be bought for a penny at the local market. At the same time, it is customary in India to bargain. As a result, you can buy things 5 โ€‹โ€‹times cheaper.

If the child is very small, necessary thing there will be a sling on the way. It will allow you to explore the world with your parents in comfort. A great travel option is the backpack sling, which allows you to adjust the straps on yourself in the front and back. Thus, you can move around the city and in transport without a stroller.

For parents who are not afraid of difficulties and plan to take a stroller, it is worth opting for a light and compact model with large wheels. On such a stroller it will be convenient to move around the beach and you can have a great rest for both the child and the parents. It should be understood that in conditions of high humidity, the stroller will take on an unusable appearance much faster than at home. Therefore, it is better to take a model that you do not mind.

Nutrition

If the baby is an infant, take baby food with you. There is no hope that it can be bought on the road or in India. The cuisine of this country is very spicy and specific, so this is not an option for preschool children. Otherwise, a fragile child's body may react unexpectedly.

Foods that are harmful to children are offered on the plane or bus. It is necessary to stock up in advance with the necessary products that will satisfy the child and will be useful to him. The best option will be not only canned food, but also instant cereals. You can also take with you muesli, well-washed fruits and vegetables. Tea - not sweet crackers. You don't have to take water with you, its quality is quite satisfactory, and it is convenient to buy a bottle anywhere.

How to keep your baby busy

In the process of moving, flying or traveling on the train, the child needs to do something. Plasticine perfectly develops fine motor skills, you can also draw on paper. Children are very fond of soap bubbles, it is worth taking a couple of bottles with you. It is important to take toys and objects with you on the road that the baby has not yet seen, so he will be busy for a long time and will receive a lot of positive emotions.

In the process of acclimatization, children may experience prickly heat, as a result of the influence of hot and humid climate... In this case, you need to use a regular powder after bathing. It's good if she ends up in the medicine cabinet. But if it is not there, it doesn't matter, a nearby pharmacy sells such a product.

You also need to pay attention to special means with a disinfectant liquid. It will allow you to wash your hands at the most inopportune moment, when there is no access to soap and water.

Personal belongings

It is worth dwelling on the fact that for the trip it is necessary to prepare not only kitchen utensils but also clean sheets that might come in handy. India is considered a very dirty country and therefore it is better to have personal bedding. Or at least take it for a child.

Sometimes you have to travel around India by bus, some of them are equipped with air conditioning. Therefore, in addition to light things, take a few sweaters and pants that will come in handy and protect the child from colds.

Alternatively, put diapers in your suitcase. But it's not a problem. They are sold in most shops for little money.

Necessary little things

  • Oddly enough, there is no buckwheat in Goa, so those who love this product should take a couple of packs with them.
  • In Goa, it is better to take kitchen utensils with you, as in most rented apartments they are not, but it is expensive to acquire.
  • It is very important to take out insurance for the entire stay. You shouldn't skimp on this, as safety and health come first. Having issued insurance on time, you can easily count on compensation for the funds spent on treatment.
  • In the process of applying for an Indian visa, photographs are needed. Those who stay are better to take on a trip. They can be great for purchasing special sim cards.
  • A flashlight will become an indispensable thing in Goa, since the roads there are not lit and dark. Therefore, to make it comfortable to move around, it is worth stocking up not only with a pair of powerful flashlights, but also with spare batteries or a rechargeable battery. In addition, it is very convenient to see where you are stepping and not to step on the peacefully resting animals.
  • If you are planning a long vacation, you can make a list of some foods that are not available in India. These include chocolate, cheese, smoked sausage, seeds.
  • Going to exotic country, it is important to understand that conservative views reign here and it is not customary even for tourists to bare their bodies. No need to bring miniskirts, shorts and tight underwear with you. Otherwise, local population think you badly.
  • Most hotels have small lugs on the doors for padlocks. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to purchase a small neat lock with which to insure the door. This way you can be sure that no one will be able to enter the room.

Magic wand

An external battery is an irreplaceable thing that is very useful for modern phones. It is normal for the battery to drain quickly. In this case, it will be impossible not only to contact the world, but also to refuse the child's desire to watch cartoons or play. If you find yourself far from the outlet, which is the norm in Goa, it is worth using an additional external battery. It will allow you to charge your phone a couple of times. It is recommended to take a battery with a capacity of no more than 5000 mAh.

Clothesline

Oddly enough, but not all places in Goa have a laundry service. There are no problems in the hotels of megalopolises. But if you want to relax away from the city, you will have to do it yourself and here a clothesline up to 20 m long will become an indispensable thing.You can also buy it in the supermarket on the spot.

And once again referring to the climate, you should pay attention to the fact that in conditions of high humidity, it is better to use quick-drying towels.

Comfortable clothes and shoes

Both for the child and for yourself, you should take comfortable shoes. Heeled options won't come in handy. For major movements, sneakers or sneakers made from natural materials will do. Sturdy sandals with sturdy soles are ideal. You can also bring your usual slippers with you. From the beginning of October, the nights in India become cold, so it will not be superfluous to grab, in addition to shorts, swimming trunks and swimsuits, clothes with long sleeves, fleece sweatshirts with a hood.

It is not advisable to take bulky suitcases with you. It is best to use a backpack.

Security

As in any other country, you should not take expensive gadgets and phones with you on your trip. It is quite possible to get by with a cheap cell phone, since in conditions of high humidity, the smartphone can be badly damaged. You should not take valuables with you on the beach and other places. It is better to keep documents and jewelry in the hotel safe. Close windows and doors at night.

One of the dangers that can happen in this country is the current. Most Indians do not swim well, and there will be no one to help get out. It often happens that the current carries tourists.

It is worth noting that there are a lot of stray wild animals on the beaches that can beg for food. But it's best to stay away from them.

A trip to Goa will give you and your family an unforgettable experience and a great vacation if you plan everything in advance and get ready on time without rush and fuss.

A little more about Goa - in the video:

How to start packing for your trip to India?

To begin with, you definitely need a backpack, you can of course also have a suitcase with wheels, but if you plan to travel and move a lot in India, then a backpack is still better. I take another bag that can be easily slung over my shoulder, for what may be needed when moving (documents, money, hygiene products, etc.) you will acquire as you move around the country. When flying, you can safely carry up to 22 kilograms, if of course you have the imagination to carry so many weights.

I'll start by saying that definitely not worth taking, so that it was not a pity to throw it out along the way. You do not need to take with you everything you care about and are not ready to say goodbye if something happens (theft, breaking, loss.)
It is better not to take clothes in large quantities, only what will be useful for the first time. At the first opportunity in India, and it is always available there, you can replenish your wardrobe very cheaply. Women - at home, you can leave off the shoulder tops and very tight T-shirts with a neckline. Skirts shorter than "below the knee" will not be necessary (except for the state of Goa and the resorts of Kerala). For men, jeans alone will be enough, you still take them off and put them in your backpack, because in that climate it is not comme il faut to wear them. It is easier to buy cotton pants or shorts locally.

Another list of notoriously unnecessary things in India

  • Food.
  • Dishes, iron mugs... The selection in India is huge and everything is cheap.
  • Books. Here, you simply will not have time for this act. And if there is time, there will be no strength ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Phrasebooks... The most useless thing is that it doesn't help. especially since people in India do not speak English but "Hinglish" (a mixture of Hindu and English) and you need all the gesticulation skills and the ability to feel and guess.
  • Large jars of wet wipes... You can't save India. You just have to accept this fact. Stocks of wet wipes can be replenished there as well.
  • Socks. Yes, no matter how ridiculous it may sound, but in the south at any time, and in the center of the country (with the exception of December and January), the thing will turn out to be as useless as one can imagine.
  • Sun protection cream... In India, you will find natural oils and creams that will be more beneficial to your skin than domestic ones.

Need to take with you to India

DOCUMENTS and MONEY

  • Passport with India Visa... And you can take a regular passport and, of course, make and store it separately. In case of loss of a passport, having a copy can speed up obtaining a new one.
  • Air ticket or its photocopy.
  • Cash(US dollars or euros) or travel (traveler's) checks(now very popular with tourists). Credit cards can come in handy when paying for tickets over the Internet, by the way, it is much more convenient than buying at the box office or travel agencies on the spot. It is better to change money in Delhi, there is always a better exchange rate than in other states.
  • Photos 3x4... Color photos are needed to buy a phone sim card. it's cheaper and more convenient to communicate with the homeland.

THINGS and CLOTHING

  • Nice shoes, especially if you are going to the mountains and are going to visit the North of the country. Large sizes on very tall and large feet are a deficiency.
  • Mosquito repellent... Many places have mosquito nets, but it's better to play it safe.
  • Guide- the best - "Foot Print", "Travel Guide", "Lonely Planets". Perhaps it will help, but maybe not. Usually in India, simple questions and random advice from local or the same tourists help better.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Nice knife.
  • Needle with thread.
  • Lantern, one of the important things. It gets dark in India in winter as early as 6 pm and sometimes you can get to places where there are power outages.
  • Sleeping bag if you get cold and the trip promises to be cool. You will hardly find heating.
  • Large sheet(it is better not to drag the old one back). Although I prefer to buy it locally and throw it away at the end of the trip.
  • Light bag over the shoulder (beach) - put water, a towel, fruit. A bottle of water is sometimes the most important thing when moving.
  • Small but reliable padlocks... In hotels you will be given, but your own is more reliable.
  • Moisture resistant covers for telephones and photographic equipment. On one of the trips, the moisture short-circuited the touch screen of the mobile, so I was without a phone for 1.5 months.

Almost any medicine is sold, medicine is at a good level: Ayurvedic, Tibetan - for every taste. You are unlikely to find the usual medicines. By the way, good quality condoms in India are much cheaper.

FIRST AID KIT

  • iodine (cuts in dampness do not heal for a long time, iodine dries well)
  • coal
  • imodium (or other for diarrhea), anything from intestinal infections (just in case)
  • plasters
  • women's tampons (for some reason you won't find them in the afternoon with fire), and pads are not a problem.

In addition, if you are taking any medications and there are chronic diseases, then it is better to take double the amount of medications needed.

P.S. And finally, take with you acceptance, a smile for any occasion ๐Ÿ™‚ And then India will give you everything you need at the earliest need arisen.
