Which island is the best in Thailand? Islands of Thailand: names and photos Island in Thailand.

Denis

There are more than one hundred islands in Thailand. Most of them do not have any infrastructure and, accordingly, are not suitable for recreation. Therefore, we would like to list thai islands, the most popular among tourists. Phuket and Samui are not included here. Since they are the most favorite among tourists, separate categories are organized for them.

Before we start talking about them, I would like to note an important fact that islands in Thailand considered the most beautiful in the whole world. Still would! Where else will you find such luxurious beaches, snow-white sand, azure sea, wild jungle and amazing nature!

The island of Koh Lipe is part of the Adang Rawi archipelago, located in the Andaman Sea at a distance of 70 kilometers west of the coast of Satun province (bordering Malaysia in the south). On the map its name can be indicated differently: Koh Lipe, Ko Lipe or Ko Lipey. Directly...

The island of Koh Lanta is located in the Krabi province not far from mainland Thailand. From the island to the provincial capital it is only 80 km, and to Bangkok – 930 km. The territory of Thailand is quite large and there are many different resorts, ranging from popular tourist spots to secluded and little-visited islands. If you have decided to visit this country for the first time, then you may have questions about where is the best place to relax in Thailand, where are the most beautiful beaches and the cleanest sea, where to go to visit as many interesting sights as possible, where is it cheaper to relax, where to go with children, etc. . I prepared this article to answer such questions so that you have a clear understanding of where is the best place for you to go in Thailand.

Pattaya

The most popular resort among tourists is Pattaya; it is here that travel agencies most often send vacationers, since tours to this region are much cheaper than to others.

Advantages:

  1. Developed infrastructure: a large number of large shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, spas, discos, clubs.
  2. The lowest prices in Thailand for housing, transport, clothing, food, etc.
  3. Numerous tourist attractions: zoo, water park, Dinosaur park, crocodile farm, various water sports, elephant riding, go-karting, ATVs. You definitely won't be bored in Pattaya!
  4. Public transport operates throughout the city and it will not be difficult for you to get from one point of Pattaya to another, and the cost of the trip is very low.
  5. Active nightlife, there is a lot of entertainment for adults, discos and bars.
  6. Bangkok is not far from Pattaya, 2 hours by bus and you are in the capital of Thailand. There you can enjoy shopping and numerous attractions, thereby diversifying your holiday.

Flaws:

  1. Dirty beaches, garbage can be strewn along the entire coast, so if you are going to Thailand to sunbathe on the beach and swim in the sea, it is better to choose another resort.
  2. In Pattaya you will not enjoy the beauty of untouched nature, since every square meter is built up with buildings.
  3. The tourist streets are very noisy and crowded, even at night, due to the numerous bars, clubs and discos.

Phuket is the second most popular resort and the largest island of Thailand, which is located in the south of the country in the Andaman Sea. But despite its popularity, Phuket is very different from Pattaya.

Advantages:

  1. Clean white beaches and azure sea.
  2. A large number of island excursions: Phi Phi, James Bond Islands, Similan Islands. However, prices for such excursions are quite high, ranging from 2000-2500 baht per person.
  3. Phuket, like Pattaya, has a well-developed infrastructure. Large selection of restaurants, cafes, many large shops, clubs and discos.
  4. Lots of entertainment both day and night. Here you definitely won’t get bored and will always find somewhere to go and something to do.
  5. Phuket has both noisy party places and quiet ones, so everyone will find something to their liking.

Flaws:

  1. Phuket has high prices (compared to other resorts) for accommodation, food, transport, excursions and other tourist services.
  2. Crowds of tourists on beaches and excursions.

Samui

Holidays on Koh Samui are more relaxed than at the two previous resorts, although there is also a lot of entertainment and nightlife with clubs and bars. Much fewer people vacation here compared to Pattaya and Phuket.

Advantages:

  1. Clean beaches, but not as snow-white as in Phuket.
  2. The infrastructure is well developed, there are large shops, markets, banks, cafes, restaurants, bars, and a wide selection of hotels.
  3. A large number of different attractions: Big Buddha, parks, waterfalls and much more.
  4. There are no crowds of tourists; on some beaches you can relax alone.

Flaws:

  1. Nightlife is not as vibrant as in Pattaya and Phuket.
  2. There are no direct flights from Russia to Koh Samui, so you will have to get there with a transfer in Bangkok or Phuket.

Koh Phangan

A calm small island with snow-white and clean beaches. Ideal for a quiet family holiday. Only a few beaches host the famous Full Moon Party during the full moon, where large numbers of young people gather and dance all night long. The rest of the time the island lives a quiet, measured life. Therefore, Koh Phangan will be an ideal place for lovers of parties and parties, as well as for those who like a secluded and relaxing holiday.

Full Moon Party

Only recently have tourists from Russia begun to visit the province of Krabi; previously, it was mainly Europeans who vacationed here.

Krabi will delight you with clean white beaches, untouched nature and incredibly beautiful views. The province of Krabi is also called the land of a thousand islands, as there are a large number of islands nearby that you can visit and admire the stunning views and beauty of untouched nature. The big advantage of a holiday on Krabi is the humane prices for island excursions. A trip to the Phi Phi Islands will cost you approximately 500 baht, as opposed to 2,000 baht in Phuket.

Hua Hin

Hua Hin is gaining popularity among tourists and is a wonderful holiday destination. It is located on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand, a 3-hour drive from Bangkok. Hua Hin has a fairly well developed infrastructure. There is a wide selection of excursions and entertainment. The beaches are not as white as in Phuket, but much cleaner than in Pattaya. Prices in Hua Hin are quite high, especially in the city center. If you are traveling to Thailand for a beach holiday, but do not want to break away from the benefits of civilization, then Hua Hin will be a great place for you.

Koh Chang

Koh Chang is great for a relaxing beach holiday. The infrastructure here is developed at an average level; there are not enough large shopping centers. The beaches are snow-white and clean, the nature is beautiful. If you are tired of the city noise and bustle, then go to Koh Chang, where you can enjoy the beauty of the local nature and a measured, relaxing holiday.

Bangkok is a metropolis where life is in full swing 24 hours a day. There is a wide choice of attractions and entertainment. And shopping is simply paradise for the female half of humanity. If you enjoy a city atmosphere, lots of sightseeing and great shopping, then head to Bangkok. But even if you decide to relax by the sea, the capital of Thailand will be a great addition to your beach holiday.

Northern Thailand

The northern capital of Thailand is Chiang Mai. There is no access to the sea, however, you will be delighted by the incredibly beautiful landscapes around. It is in the north that you will experience real Thai life and immerse yourself in the national culture as much as possible. Here you will see rice fields, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and a large number of attractions. Not far from the city of Chiang Rai there is the famous White Temple Wat Rong Khun, which will amaze you with its uniqueness and grandeur.

Secluded and rarely visited places

Despite the fact that Tourism is actively developing in Thailand, there are still little-visited secluded places with pristine, incredibly beautiful nature. If you want a relaxing holiday away from the noise of the city, then go to one of the following islands: Samet, Lanta or Lipe. They will delight you with their pristine white beaches, azure sea and incredibly beautiful landscapes. The disadvantage of these islands is their underdeveloped infrastructure: there are very few cafes, restaurants, and shops. But if your goal is a quiet beach holiday away from civilization, then you will like the islands.

Comparative characteristics of resorts

Best months for vacation

When traveling to Thailand, do not forget to consider the rainy season. In Pattaya it is not pronounced, there is only high humidity and it becomes difficult to breathe, and the rains are short-lived and fall mainly at night. I would not recommend going to Koh Samui in the fall, as heavy rain can fall for a whole week without a break. And in Phuket in the summer there is a strong wind and big waves, so swimming in the sea at this time is unlikely to be possible.

I compiled a table where I indicated the best months for vacation in yellow, green for a satisfactory period and blue for the rainy season. It will help you understand when is the best time to go to a particular region of Thailand.

Final conclusions

If you are traveling to Thailand for entertainment and active nightlife, then the best place for you would be Pattaya or Bangkok, as well as the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan.

For those who want to spend time on the beach without interrupting civilization, then go to Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin, Koh Chang, Krabi or Phangan.

Go to Bangkok or Pattaya for shopping.

If you dream of being away from the bustle of the city, alone with yourself and enjoying beautiful natural landscapes, then the islands of Samet, Lanta or Lipe are waiting for you.

For holidays with children, I can recommend Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Phangan or Hua Hin. But if your priority is not a beach holiday, but entertainment, then Pattaya is better suited, since it has the most entertainment places, including for children (water park, aquarium, attractions, zoos, etc.).

There are a lot of islands in Thailand: small and large, uninhabited and densely populated. When going on vacation, first of all you need to choose a country, then a resort. Which island in Thailand should you choose for your holiday? First of all, when choosing, you should focus on the goals of the vacationer... As a rule, people travel to the islands specifically for a beach holiday. Which is reasonable - where else are there white sand and blue sea, if not on an island in the ocean? But nevertheless, the island is different from the other.

Paradise Island Phuket

Phuket is perhaps the most popular island in Thailand. Why? Because, along with beach holidays, the infrastructure for tourists is maximally developed here. There are large shopping centers for full-fledged shopping, discos and nightclubs that allow you to dance until the morning, and numerous restaurants with a wide variety of world cuisines and much, much more. If you are ready to combine a beach holiday with an excursion, and in the evening you will plunge headlong into the nightlife of the island, then Phuket is your choice.
Don’t think that Phuket is only suitable for active travelers; the island is also suitable for families with children. If you don’t want to go “to the city” for entertainment, almost every hotel will offer you to spend the evening in the hotel restaurant. Excursion holidays are also aimed at little tourists; there are water parks, zoos, and various shows for kids. And of course, an abundance of fresh fruit and sun. What else do you need for a successful holiday?!

The mysterious island of Koh Samui

Samui shares the pedestal of popularity among holidaymakers with Phuket. The island also has an airport for the convenience of travelers. But the islands still have differences. Firstly, the bodies of water washed by them and the location. Phuket is located in the very south of Thailand, close to the border with Malaysia and is washed by the Andaman Sea. Samui is a smaller island and is located east of the “elephant’s trunk”. Koh Samui is called the island of romance. There are noticeably fewer local settlements here, but nevertheless the nightlife and evening events are quite developed. There are also many restaurants on the island in the popular areas of Lamai and Chaweng, there are fewer excursions than in Phuket, but nevertheless there is something to see here. Diving and snorkeling are very developed. In general, Samui is an island for romantic trips, there are not many places where you can be active, and the island itself can be circled in 40 minutes.

From Samui you can take a ferry to another island, Koh Phangan, which is famous for its full moon parties, the so-called “Full Moon Parties”. Parties take place every 3 months; it is during these periods that the island becomes most popular. As a rule, they stay on the island for a couple of days to attend this event, and then return to Koh Samui or back to the mainland.

Elephant Island Koh Chang

The third place in popularity goes to the island with the symbolic name “Chang”, which means elephant in Thai. Koh Chang has quite mountainous terrain and a large number of beaches. It is generally accepted that Koh Chang Island is suitable for a more relaxing family holiday. There are no large shopping centers on the island. There are a lot of small restaurants for evening gatherings near each beach, but there are no real night discos on the island. The sea is quite clean; tourists are mainly attracted by bungalow-type hotels, because it is in a bungalow on the seashore that you can truly enjoy the relaxed holiday of Koh Chang.

Small “bounty” islands

Along with popular and populated islands, Thailand can offer travelers a completely serene holiday. As a rule, these are not large islands, often Thai national reserves. These are places where only hotels and beaches are located, nature remains virtually untouched, and local residents carefully take care of the flora and fauna, trying to preserve their pristine state. On such islands you will not find either shopping centers or discos; moreover, in some places, especially in bungalow-type hotels, the lights are turned off after 7 - 8 pm and torches with open fires are used as lighting devices.
You can get such a harmonious holiday, for example, on the islands adjacent to Phuket in the Andaman Sea.

Closer to the most popular resort of Pattaya you can also find such islands.

When going on holiday to the islands of Thailand, be sure to take with you sunscreen with a protection factor of at least 30, for children 50. Do not leave your room for the beach without applying the cream. Remember that on the islands, especially in the hot season, the sun is not just scorching, but scorching. By using the cream every day, you can protect yourself from burns and, as a result, always be in a good mood on your island vacation.

Welcome to the islands of Thailand!

It’s not surprising, but the question “which islands of Thailand to choose for a vacation?” is still relevant, despite the fact that it would seem that a clear answer has long been given to it on the Internet:

  • for a civil beach holiday – Phuket
  • best island – Koh Samui
  • for lovers of beautiful and untouched nature - the “island” of Krabi

But is this really so? We will try to answer this question based on our personal impressions received from each of the places described below.

It is quite likely that in many respects this is true, but we beg to differ. We agree with the first point, but only partly. Phuket is civilized - that’s for sure, let’s even say that it is too civilized and this is one of its disadvantages. There are not many tourists here, but a lot, with all the ensuing consequences - high prices, bustle, noise, the local population is not too happy with you, etc. We don’t know about you, but for us personally, flying halfway around the world in order to plunge from one city bustle into another is somehow not very good.

Well, calling the island’s beaches the best in Thailand is only a stretch; there’s definitely no talk of exotic beauty here. One of the most civilized and “tourism-friendly” - yes. Nature here doesn’t shine with its originality and exotic beauty, and mass tourism has done its dirty deed, practically burying it under its services.

What else did mass tourism bring here – the notorious “Western values” and culture. The result of this is that the local population, for the most part, puts money at the forefront, in any case, they do everything to “squeeze out the money” to the maximum. Yes, a tourist in Phuket is a moneybag who does not deserve any respect. And we ourselves are to blame for this.

Sorry, but such everyday rudeness, snobbery and lack of culture on the part of vacationers can hardly be found anywhere else in this country, unless Pattaya does not yield. But Phuket itself and its beaches are not so bad, however, everything about the island is in this section.

Popular hotels in Phuket

Koh Samui

Samui is many times better than the previous place. When looking through the islands of Thailand, deciding where to go, it should be preferred over many others. It can be called a universal island, here everyone can find a holiday to their liking - civil and almost wild beaches, parties and deserted silence, urban civilization and rural wilderness, all this coexists here.

As for nature, it is simply magnificent. Of course, not a bounty, but tropical exoticism is present here. Again, the purity and clarity of sea water is not comparable to Phuket. You can snorkel tolerably and see some underwater beauty. However, you shouldn’t expect anything supernatural from snorkeling on Koh Samui. Read more about the beaches.

Prices on the island are not the cheapest, but... It is quite large, and the tourism business tightly “occupied” only the north-eastern and eastern coasts, but in other areas they are more humane. There are many shops, including several supermarkets. In the latter, in addition to being able to buy everything you need, you can also eat deliciously and inexpensively. About shops and markets of Samui.

"Island" Krabi

No matter how sad and surprising this may sound to some, we will have to disappoint - Krabi is not an island, but one of the provinces of Thailand and it is located on the mainland. To put it mildly, there are also problems with the untouched and exotic nature here, and the beaches are not very suitable for swimming - shallow, the water is cloudy. It is likely that when they talk about the luxurious nature of Krabi, they mean the numerous islands located nearby and belonging to the same province.

They are the main objects of numerous one-day excursion tours, and most often their photographs are cited as evidence of the beauty of Krabi. Almost all the islands are small and uninhabited; only a few have hotels, but not everyone can afford the prices of accommodation in them. In general, everything here would not be very fun for independent budget travelers, if not for Koh Lanta.

Best hotels in Krabi

Koh Lanta Island

Strictly speaking, these are not one, but two islands - Ko Lanta Noi and Ko Lanta Yai. The first is inhabited exclusively by Thais and has absolutely no tourist infrastructure. The second is almost ideal for tourists craving a relaxing holiday, clean sea, beautiful beaches and nature. But let us immediately note that those who are interested in sightseeing holidays and all sorts of attractions should not come here, this is not here.

Well, lovers of beach holidays will love Lanta in all its variants. It seems to us that the island is somewhat similar to Samui, but at the same time much calmer, provincially cute and very cozy. Take a quick look at its best beaches.

Prices are not the lowest, but definitely lower than in neighboring Phuket and Krabi. There are no supermarkets, but there are many small shops and several large markets. There are no problems with food, as in any part of Thailand.

One of the disadvantages is the small number of private housing available for long-term stays. But there are plenty of hotels - from bamboo bungalows to multi-star ones. The sea is clean, the water is transparent, but it is not necessary to take a mask and fins here; there is no snorkeling, however, as in all of Krabi.

Anyone interested in our budget for a month's holiday in Phuket and Koh Lanta this year can. All information about Lanta is in.

Top hotels in Koh Lanta

Phi Phi Island

Thanks to active advertising from travel agencies, Phi Phi is almost associated with the Maldives. What can I say, the island is really beautiful and interesting, but it is clearly “over-promoted” and overpopulated with tourists, including package tourists. Personally, we liked it, but we would hardly stay there for more than 5-7 days, it was too crowded.

By the way, there is an opinion that the island is very expensive to live in, both in terms of housing and food. We don’t know, it seemed to us that there are different price categories represented here. Of course, it’s more expensive than in neighboring Ko Lanta, but not more expensive than in Phuket in Karon and definitely cheaper than in Lipa.

Phi Phi Hotels

Koh Lipe Island

Koh Lipe is one of the smallest tourist islands in Thailand, but at the same time one of the best, at least not so long ago it was, and it is gaining popularity very quickly. It is located within the Tarutao Marine Natural Park, which already says a lot.

The size of Koh Lipe is not at all large, no larger than any of the Gili Islands in Indonesia (by the way, we highly recommend visiting them) and one hour is enough to walk around its perimeter. But this does not mean at all that there is nothing to do there; lovers of beach holidays and nature have something to please themselves with.

There are enough hotels here, and... The island is small, from any of them there are literally a few steps to the sea. But, if you are going to this piece of paradise, book your accommodation in advance via the Internet.

The sand on the Lipe beaches (there are 4 in total) is coral and snow-white, which means the water is very clear, with beautiful turquoise and emerald shades, which is the best way to spend the whole day there, from dawn to dusk.

Well, lovers of snorkeling will definitely not be bored here; a mask and fins are a must. Read more about Koh Lipe and how to get there in this section.

Once upon a time, while making a kayaking trip around the uninhabited islands of the reserve, among other pleasures, we received an unforgettably vivid impression of snorkeling in these waters. In our opinion, the underwater world here is one of the most beautiful in Thailand.

As for nature - deserted beaches with white coral sand, crystal clear warm waters, coconut palms and Robinson's life in a tent, on uninhabited islands, and even Happy Friday. What else do you need for a heavenly holiday?

Best hotels in Koh Lipe

Koh Phangan Island

For our taste, Koh Phangan is one of the best islands in Thailand. Not to say that it is big, but perhaps one of the most versatile, so to speak. There is everything here - beaches (many and very different, choose depending on your preferences), elephant safaris, fishing on mountain rivers, temples, yoga centers and much more.

And, of course, the famous FuLL Moon Party is one of the biggest beach parties in Asia, held monthly on the night of the full moon. However, fans of such events will not get bored on other days of the month. You can learn a little more about Koh Phangan and its beaches

If you are in search of good beaches, clean sea and bounty landscapes, some dashing wind has brought you to Pattaya and you are full of despair, looking at the surrounding reality, do not become despondent, your vacation can still be saved - go to the island of Ko Kood, located nearby .

Of course, if you arrived having bought a tour, then everything is more complicated, because the money for the hotel has already been paid, but even in this case you can please yourself, at least a little - you can buy at least a two-day excursion; in Pattaya they are offered everywhere. Ko Kood is a tiny, quiet island with wonderful beaches and tropical nature. The tourism business is gradually “taking it into its hands” and the island is changing not for the better, but we found it still like that.

Of course, these are not all the islands of Thailand, but only the most popular ones. Besides them, there are many others that are no less interesting, beautiful and worthy of attention. For example, we really want to visit Koh Tau, we hope this little dream of ours will come true someday.

Koh Kood Island Hotels

And finally, a calendar of cheap air tickets to Thailand, perhaps the best tool we know for finding tickets.

Thailand is a favorite country for tourists. The kingdom is known for its wild archipelagos and bustling mainland, but it is Thailand's islands that attract travelers the most. How to get there and where to go are questions that concern every traveler. Everyone can find an island suitable for relaxation - both a group of people who want to party and a real hermit. All that remains is to figure out which island is worth visiting.

The most popular islands of Thailand

The kingdom also offers exceptionally noisy and exotic recreation. So, the time has come to open youth holidays in Thailand to tourists. Where should adventure seekers go?

  • Phuket. The island is a dream for those who have not yet decided where to go to have a good time. By the way, you won’t have to get to Phuket through Bangkok, since there is an airport here, and direct flights depart from major Russian cities. Cheerful groups prefer to relax on Bangla Road, a street dotted with night bars, restaurants and exotic establishments. By the way, the beaches here are quite clean, as for a large crowd of tourists. This is the very place in Thailand where people go to see wild nature without leaving the benefits of civilization. Large and comfortable hotels, luxury villas, reliable banks, uninterrupted communication systems - all this is successfully intertwined with wild nature. That is why Phuket answers the question of where young people should go on vacation in Thailand.
  • Phangan. An exotic youth resort for adventure seekers. Active leisure will be provided by diving, windsurfing, kiteboarding or trekking centers in the wild jungle. In addition, the cleanest beaches await travelers on the island. It is logical to go to Koh Phangan for those who are looking for the best place to fly in Thailand to embark on incredible adventures. It is in this place that tourists get acquainted with the vibrant shows of Thai “women”, get the opportunity to taste original Asian cuisine and get acquainted with the traditional entertainment of the younger generation. At the same time, a holiday on Koh Phangan will be quite inexpensive; not only the “golden” youth, but also the average student of Russia can afford to go to the island.

For those looking for the islands of Thailand to head to for heady parties, active sports and exotic experiences, it is recommended to choose the most extensive and popular destinations - Koh Phangan and Phuket. Flights to Phuket are especially convenient, since there is no need to make a detour changing planes in the capital of the country - Bangkok. In addition, these are the very resorts in Thailand where it is easy to go on your own. After all, vacationing without the help of tour operators is convenient and several times cheaper.

Northern Islands of Thailand

It is impossible to talk about which resort is the only good one. It all depends on the circumstances. Those who are eager to explore the northeast coast should pay attention to these two islands:

  • Samet. Do you know where you can go in Thailand to get away from the hustle and bustle? Yes, exactly to Samet. There are clean beaches, a huge National Park and a fascinating wild jungle. Divers and hermits prefer to relax on Samet. It is noteworthy that this place is avoided by all monsoons, so the trip will be rational at any time of the year. The island is especially good in December, January and February. You will have to fly to Samet via Bangkok, from where you need to take a bus to your destination.
  • Koh Chang. Both tourists seeking peace and travelers craving noisy parties go here. The central part of the island is dotted with bars, entertainment complexes and comfortable hotels. Here it will not be difficult to independently find a corner for your preferred relaxation. By the way, one of the most popular beaches in Thailand is located on Koh Chang - White Send Beach. You will also have to travel to Chang from the capital.

It is worth noting that now many tourists are interested in where they can go in Thailand in February. Well, these islands are the answer to the question, as they have an amazing climate in winter.

Southern coast of Thailand

Moving to the south of the kingdom, the following places deserve the attention of tourists:

  • Tao. Flying to this resort is worth it for those who are looking for a balance between the delights of civilization and wild nature. If you are wondering where it would be better to go in Thailand to enjoy diving, choose Tao. In addition to having clean beaches, the islanders offer the most favorable pricing for the services of instructors and equipment rental. By the way, the island will appeal to fishing enthusiasts. Marlins, groupers and barracudas are found in certain areas.
  • Samui. One of the largest and most popular resorts in the kingdom, which attracts married couples and cheerful young people. Often travelers are interested in a “mixed-color” holiday in Thailand. Where to go to Thailand to visit the azure beaches every day, without giving up the benefits of civilization, is on Koh Samui. You are unlikely to want to leave here, especially for lovers of fresh air and clean sea. True, you will have to get there with transfers; upon reaching Bangkok, you will need to transfer to another plane ferrying travelers to the island. By the way, if you are looking for where to go in Thailand in December, you should not choose Samui. Heavy rains often occur until February.

As you can see, it is better to go to the southeast of Thailand with your family. These parts of the country are free from constant traffic on the roads, crowded beaches and overly expensive vacation spots. It is convenient to travel to southeastern resorts from major Russian airports, whose airlines operate in the direction of Bangkok.

How to get to the Thai Kingdom

You can travel to Thailand from many Russian airports located in central cities or cities of the Far East, Siberia and the Urals. When the question of where to fly to Thailand is closed, it’s time to think about how to get there. Most flights to the Asian country are with transfers. Thus, the following reliable airlines offer services to tourists:

  • Emirates, with a connection in Dubai.
  • China Southern Airlines, with a transfer to Guangzhou.
  • Air Astana, with a transfer in Astana or Almaty.
  • Etihad, with a connection in Abu Dhabi.
  • Finnair, with a transfer in Helsinki.
  • Cathay Pacific, with a connection in Hong Kong.
  • Qatar Airways, with a transfer to Doha.

At least 60% of travelers choose one of the airlines listed above, due to the favorable ratio of flight cost and convenience. Tourists are invited to travel from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok. Residents of other cities will have to get to one of the listed ones.

It is worth noting that flights from the eastern regions of Russia are more profitable. Moreover, both in terms of pricing and regarding flight time. Traveling from eastern cities is convenient due to its close location to Thailand. Therefore, pricing is more loyal, and flight time is much shorter. Thus, tourists have the opportunity to purchase round-trip tickets for 20-28 thousand rubles, which is an order of magnitude lower than in the capital. Speaking about where it is better for travelers to fly in Thailand in order to save a little money, the choice should be Bangkok. Direct flights to islands that have airports are two or three times more expensive.

How to fly to Thailand economically

To avoid overpaying, travelers should regularly monitor promotions that are often carried out by major airlines such as Etihad, Qatar Airways, Emirates, UIA and Vietnam Airlines. It is noteworthy that promotional offers often extend to the capital, although they are also found in the regions. Tourists manage to get round-trip tickets for 15-20 thousand rubles, which can undoubtedly be considered a good deal for a country like Thailand. Promotions rarely extend to the island parts of the kingdom, so tickets must be taken to Bangkok, from where you can travel to any part of the country by bus or regional flight.

When considering the islands of Thailand, deciding where to go on vacation, do not forget about housing. The Island House company will help you choose a cozy house or a luxurious villa in the heavenly corners of the kingdom, at a minimal cost.
