How to get there
The village lies in a flood valley of several rivers, the largest of which gave the name to the settlement. The sea is open, and on the continental part the village is limited by the foothills of the Caucasus. The climatic conditions are similar to those in Sochi, only the humidity is slightly higher. The center of Sochi is approximately 18 km away. Loo's closest neighbors are the resort villages of Dagomys and Vardane.
The location of the village and the existing transport interchange will not cause difficulties for visitors. The easiest way to get to Loo is to get here by rail. The village has a large railway station, where most long-distance trains going to Adler stop. From Sochi airport, where you can fly from various parts of Russia, regular buses go to the village. We stayed at the Sura guest house for the first time. I liked everything very much, the location is very good, everything is close. Quiet place. It's a 7-minute walk to the sea, there are many good restaurants nearby, shops, a bank, everything is within walking distance. We took a double room on the ground floor, a separate entrance, in the room there was a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, toilet and shower. The rooms are very cozy and clean. There is a large kitchen for self-catering, which has all the necessary utensils. The owners are very nice people, they meet you and accompany you to the station, they will always help and advise. Irina met, showed and told everything. Special thanks to Norik for the excursion, which was very fun. We are very glad that we vacationed in Sura, and our only regret is that we came for only 7 days. Like most people, before going on vacation to Sura, we read reviews, which were all positive, and only on one site there was not a single good review, which surprised us and gave us doubts. However, one more important point should be noted here. In any case, the maximum of various tourist services is concentrated in Sochi itself, in its central part. So, Loo is geographically closer to the city (this is easy to see by looking at the train schedule and their order). Therefore, if you plan to visit the center multiple times, take this factor into account.

Let's add one more not very comforting fact. The fact is that the largest landfill on the Russian Black Sea coast is located in Loo. Therefore, the beach is called “clean” conditionally - in the sense that there are fewer tourists here. Of course, the garbage is not located directly in the resort area, but still quite close to it (about a kilometer from the shore).

The residential buildings of the village are located on a hill; any road from the sea will go uphill. Access to the shore through a tunnel under the railway or through passages. Both Loo and Lazarevskoye are humid subtropics, there is no difference in climate, it is hot and very humid in summer. The nature is beautiful, what can you say: palm trees, magnolias, mountains, open sea, mountains.
We swim from the second half of June to October, but lovers of cool water - 18-20 ° C - can open the swimming season in May.
Beaches
The beaches in both Loo and Lazarevskoye are pebble, from the smallest pebbles, almost like sand, to large stones.
Loo has one advantage about its beaches: they are simply huge, I have never seen anything like them anywhere else, almost 100 meters wide. But the beaches are still full during peak season.

The beaches here and there are wild, and there are well-maintained ones. In principle, the beaches have good infrastructure, everything is available everywhere: cabins, umbrellas, sun loungers for rent, a lot of entertainment such as catamarans, parachutes, cafes and canteens nearby.

The sea is cleaner in Lazarevka! Everyone complains that in Loo, waste from the sewerage flows into the sea from the river, at least we have heard about cases of intestinal infection.
The bottom is rocky everywhere, the entrance is too, the depth is gradual.
Many people bathe in special slippers; children quickly get used to it and run around barefoot. But when the waves are big, it is very difficult to enter the water.

I definitely recommend Lazarevskoe to young people - it’s not Sochi, of course, it’s on a different level, but still, there are a lot of decent clubs, foam discos, themed parties, various fashionable DJs come. And there are more young people here than in Loo; there is always company.
There are also young people in Loo, of course, there are a couple of clubs (Aqualoo definitely has one), karaoke, and a cafe with live music (one on the beach was very good).
Transport accessibility
As I already said, it’s closer to Sochi - only 26 km (70 km to Lazarevka).
There are railway stations both here and there, but from Adler Loo airport, it turns out, it’s more accessible.
The bus service is good, as everywhere else in the country - you can go on excursions by bus.
Housing
There are a lot of options both in Lazarevskoye and in Loo, traditionally it’s cheaper.
However, I didn’t like Loo at all. Firstly, if you take accommodation 150-200 meters from the sea, you will have to walk back and forth across railway tracks and a very busy highway.
But even if you take the first line, you will still have to go to the village, to cafes, to shops - much of this is located behind the road.
