Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “The Sign”

In 1885, the merchant Polyakov received the territory around the church. Thanks to him, the reconstruction of the temple in the pseudo-Russian style was carried out. The facade of the church was decorated with kokoshniks, columns and elegant platbands. Next to the church there is a chapel-tomb of a merchant and his wife. The architect I. Bondarenko worked on its creation. During Soviet times, the church was closed. Its premises were used for the needs of the city.

In 1997, the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. During the restoration work, a new bell tower was erected, and the interior walls of the church were decorated with icons from the mosaic of A. Karnaukhov. After 4 years, the temple opened its doors to parishioners.

By the end of the century, the estate came into the possession of the imperial family. The main manor house, an outbuilding, a greenhouse, a horse yard, a bakery building and the Elias Church, founded in 1732, have been partially preserved to this day. This is the only building that is open to the public, since there is now a rest house on the estate.

Sculpture "Sorrow"

In the park of the Arkhangelskoye estate you can see a very interesting sculpture called “Sorrow” or “Mourning Genius”. It was installed in 1908 by order of the owner Zinaida Yusupova. She purchased it at one of the exhibitions. Despite the fact that the structure was intended as a tombstone, the princess ordered it to be installed in the park.

Some time later, his eldest son Nikolai died in a duel. And it was to him that she dedicated this monument. The German master K. G. Barth worked on the creation of the sculpture. This is the only creation of the sculptor in Russia.

The monument is made of bronze and represents the figure of a young man. In his left hand he holds a dying torch, and in his right hand he tightly clutches a laurel wreath. The composition evokes sadness and sorrow among visitors.

Valentin Vorobyov Gallery “Feast of the Soul”

In the village of Korostovo, Krasnogorsk district, there is a gallery called “Feast of the Soul”. It was founded by the Honored Artist of Russia and hereditary blacksmith Valentin Vorobyov. Visitors to the gallery will be surprised by unique exhibits made of metal in the “techno-art” style.

There are dozens of amazing masterpieces located on a two-story square. It is very difficult to believe that they were created by human hands, since every detail of the composition is very expressive and emotional. Valentin Vorobyov can create a real work of art from the most ordinary things. This is how an ordinary carburetor turns into Carlson made of metal, and an old iron into the head of Zmey Gorynych.

The gallery's exhibits can never move thanks to the mechanical base. “Feast of the Soul” attracts a large number of children, because here you can touch everything with your hands.

The Znamenskoye-Gubailovo estate is located in the city of Krasnogorsk, Moscow region. The 18th-century estate is located on the territory of an ancient park. In the 17th century, the Gubailovo wasteland was taken over by boyar S.V. Volynsky. Under his nephew I.F. In Volynsk in the 17th century, a church was erected in honor of the Sign of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then, under Prince Dolgorukov-Krymsky, in the 18th century, a manor complex in the style of classicism appeared around the church. The main features of the complex have been preserved to this day.

The estate ensemble consists of a church, a long-standing manor house, outbuildings and outbuildings. On its territory there was also an orchard, ponds, and a park. The estate has changed several owners. Its last owner was S.A. Polyakov, under whom the estate became a favorite visiting place for symbolist poets: K.D. stayed here. Balmont, V.Ya. Bryusov, Andrey Bely and others. During Soviet times, various government institutions were located in the estate.

Currently, the Znamenskaya Church of the estate is operational. Next to it, the chapel-tomb of the Polyakovs, built in 1910, has been preserved. The main manor house is well preserved; at the beginning of the 20th century it was built on and reconstructed in the neo-Empire style. Three outbuildings have survived, one of which was restored after the fire, as well as the manager’s house. On the territory of the estate you can see the building of the equestrian yard. The ancient park has been preserved. In 2008, restoration of the manor buildings began.

Petrovskoye Estate

The Petrovskoye (Durnevo) estate is located in the Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region. The first written mention of the village of Petrovskoye, previously called Durnevo, dates back to 1504. In 1670, Prince P.I. became the owner of the estate. Prozorovsky, under whom the Petrovskoye-Durnevo estate was built. In 1684, the stone Church of the Assumption was built here. In 1720, the Golitsyns began to own the estate, who created a magnificent estate complex, combining residential and outbuildings, many of which have survived to this day.

The main two-story manor house, built in the 19th century instead of a Gothic-style castle built in the 1760s, has survived to this day. The paired brick outbuildings of the 18th century, a wooden residential outbuilding with a mezzanine, a servant's room, a fodder barn, and a horse yard have also been preserved. The park preserves an alley of oak trees, cascading ponds, and the Big and Small bridges. The Church of the Assumption of the 17th century has not reached our time; it was destroyed in the 1930s, and the carved iconostasis and rare icons were lost. Currently, a wooden church has been erected near the place where the Assumption Church was located.

Estate Ilyinskoye

The Ilyinskoye estate is located in the Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region. The estate was built in 1666. Then it was owned by the Streshnev family. Since 1783, the estate belonged to the Ostermans. In 1826, under A.I. Osterman-Tolstoy rebuilt the estate, creating a luxurious estate ensemble: a two-story wooden mansion with hanging gardens was built, and a park was created in the English style. Then the Golitsyns owned the estate; in the 1860s, the estate became the property of the imperial family.

The manor house, an outbuilding, the “Understand Me” and “Don’t Feel the Grief” pavilions, a horse yard, a bakery building, service buildings, greenhouses, a military field office, the Elias Church and some other buildings have survived to this day. Of all the estate buildings, only the church is open to visitors; on the territory of the estate there is a rest house, access to which is closed.

Elias Church was built in 1732-1735, when the Streshnevs owned the estate. The temple is built of brick and plastered. Decorated with white stone carved decor. The church has two chapels, added in 1818, a three-tier bell tower with a gilded spire, rebuilt in 1828. The church is active.

Estate "Arkhangelskoe"

The Arkhangelskoye estate is a unique monument of Russian artistic culture. It has become famous throughout the world thanks to its majestic architecture, picturesque landscapes and unique museum collection.

The place where the estate is located was first mentioned in the 30s of the 16th century. Written sources mention “the village of Upolozy on the river in Moscow.” The second name appeared around the same time, when a wooden church was built in honor of the Archangel Michael. In the middle of the 17th century, the wooden church was dismantled and a stone one was built in its place. Now it stands majestically on the high bank of the old bed of the Moscow River. After Prince N. Yusupov, one of the richest people in Russia, a connoisseur and connoisseur of the arts and philanthropist, became the next owner of the estate, a new stage of her life began.

The flourishing of the Arkhangelskoye estate is associated with the name of Yusupov. Under the new owner, Arkhangelskoye turned into the most popular center of social life in Moscow. Not only noble nobles, politicians, famous poets and publicists came here. Even imperial persons were guests in these parts. Now the Arkhangelskoye estate has become a unique museum with wonderful collections of paintings from the 17th - 19th centuries, as well as collections of decorative and applied art and sculpture. The collection of rare books, numbering about 16 thousand volumes, is the largest in Russia.

Entrance arch of the Arkhangelskoye estate

The entrance arch connecting the wings, like a keystone, maintains the architectural unity of the Main Courtyard. Erected shortly after Russia's victory in the War of 1812, it is similar to a triumphal arch and in its scale is more suitable for a city than a country estate. Above the archivolts are depicted flying Glories. The cast-iron gates, whose openwork pattern goes back to the Empire style, were made in 1896 according to the design of the architect N.V. Sultanov.

Nikolskoye-Uryupino Estate

The Nikolskoye-Uryupino estate is located in the village of Nikolo-Uryupino, Krasnogorsk district, Moscow region. In the 17th century, the estate was owned by the Odoevsky princes, under whom a manor house and a wooden church were built, later replaced by a stone one. Then the estate was owned by the Dolgorukovs, after whom it passed to the Golitsyns, whose family owned the estate until 1917. Under the Golitsyns, a wonderful estate complex was formed. In 1809 -1811, a manor palace, the White House pavilion were built, and a park was laid out. In the 1840s - 1860s a new estate ensemble was built.

During Soviet times, the estate housed a museum, then organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Defense. The manor's winter house, the White House in the style of French classicism, which is a summer manor house, in which finishing details and fresco paintings remain, and the St. Nicholas Church, which was returned to the believers in 1991, have survived to this day. Next to the church, a necropolis survived, in which representatives of the Golitsyn and Khitrovo families were buried. Fragments of landscape and regular parks and the ruins of a kitchen outbuilding have survived to this day.

In 2004, the manor house was badly damaged after a fire. Since 2005, its restoration has been ongoing.
